About BristleAndBud
The Bristle & Bud Story
After years of cultivation, my dream to create a small, handmade art business finally sprouted in March 2019. I named it Bristle & Bud - Bristle of a paintbrush, Bud of a flower in Spring.
I began with watercolour pet portrait paintings, moving onto other bespoke artwork, as well as art prints, greetings cards and handmade polymer clay & embroidered jewellery.
All artwork is hand painted by myself (Bryony) from my home-studio in Kidderminster. Equally, all jewellery is designed, handmade and packaged by myself.
Inspired by nature, made by hand.
Always striving to be more eco-conscious. Prints are printed onto 100% recycled textured card. Cellophane bags are made from corn/potato starch. These are fully biodegradable and home compostable. I try my best to always use recycled card and paper, and re-use packaging to avoid waste.
Slow, handmade and independent.

I studied Surface Pattern Design at Staffordshire University, and have since then developed my passion for watercolour painting, embroidery and eco-friendly design. I set up Bristle & Bud in March 2019 creating custom artwork, prints & gifts.
