This handkerchief is wonderful, and I love that it looks exactly like a barber shop pole. Perfect for my needs!

Really a nice pattern and a nice colour, this pocket square is absolutely unique. Richard has written it in his desciption but this is the only thing that actually scores the pocket square down: You can not fold the Corners properly about each other. But that ´s about it, since I am wearing it a little bit lose everything is alright and this really fits to a beautifl boutonniere bought here on etsy. I have to say domo arigato to Richard for his really fast delivery. Added his shop to my favorites. Greetings from Germany , Shogun V.J.S.

About

The Man On A Boat.

I can't exactly put my finger on the time that I found my skill in sewing. I do remember however having a conversation with a very gruff and scary looking man who owned a haberdashery store, talking about purchasing my first sewing machine. He seemed to be in disbelief when I explained to him I was a cosplayer, who had been forced to make all of his costumes on a large cast iron treadle at my grandmothers. He knew I had never been of any wealth, and I would say it was my disdain at the prices of his sewing machines that led him to giving me a cast iron beast of a sewing machine for free.

This charity opened up a new world to me. Initially of frustration, as I learned how little skills I had in stitching, barely struggling to even sew a straight line or prevent the stitches from being caught. I would even break a needle or two only a second after starting. Yet, I wanted to improve, and to do so I sought out a tailor, to pester, question and observe. Called Kev, the only thing about him that wasn't blunt were his sewing needles. He would turn away customers if he believed they were going to be hard to work with, and the odd leaf of rolling tobacco would often fall between the lining of his suits. Yet his finished work was always superb.

Being in this environment, I soon saw how clothing could immediately transform a mans attitude and confidence. Walking through the door they would slump and look defeated; yet after putting on one of his hand made works of art, they stood tall and looked proud. I too, wanted to emulate this man.

True it may have been that only once was I able to afford a suit from him, in charcoal grey made from luxury cashmere. But it was that moment, slipping my arms through the perfectly crafted templates that I decided I would learn how to sew, and here I am.

What you see in my shop are not just items of clothing, they are accessories that should inspire pride and confidence, without them needing to scream for attention. They should be quiet and discreet, matched with a fine watch, a clean pair of shoes and a spotless suit.

Handcrafted in Yorkshire, I deliver to you my work.

Nowadays walking into a store has become a banal experience, shelves filled to the brim, overflowing with mass made, inferior products.

But not here, imagine if you will pushing again the cold brass handle off a heavy wooden door, a smiling connoisseur of clothing greeting you with a slight bow. A faint perfumed scent fills your senses as you observe the darkened polished mahogany fittings. Beneath your feet, a dark plush rug, embroidered with a proud 'Britannia Tailoring' logo. Approaching the bespoke made glass counter, you gaze upon our creations.

Welcome, to Britannia Tailoring.
