Announcement   I find crochet very creative and relaxing. I enjoy the whole process from sketching my designs, selecting colours, researching materials to finally producing a finished product. My ideas seem to just keep coming so before I have finished a project I am planning the next one in my head. I find inspiration in the colours and textures of nature, animals and things I liked as a child.

My products are tried and tested before I sell them. I give my friends and family things to check sizes, comfort and longevity....they are very happy with this idea too because they get free hats, dishcloths and slippers!

I spend a lot of time researching various yarns and materials until I find what is best suited and fit for purpose. Hats are made out of yarns that are soft, stretchy and not itchy. Slippers need to be able to withstand wear and tear so I use a thick super-chunky that can be felted. The soles are coated in rubber to make them non-slip and longer lasting...it took a lot of experimenting to find the correct type of rubber! I am a bit of a perfectionist so only the very best quality materials are used.

I welcome enquiries about custom made pieces. Anything you see in my crochet range can be made in other colours, sizes for babies and children, or I can make something from your ideas. Just message me with anything you have in mind. :)

I have sold items at local markets and when I am out people who see me wearing something they like have asked for custom orders. The most common remark is that my work is original, neat and professionally finished.

About my Art background

I studied fine art at university and was awarded a BA (hons) degree in 2015. I was interested in childhood memories so I spent my time exploring the meaning of nostalgia for several years. Although I love to crochet I am also a painter and my intention is to sell my art work on Etsy in the future. I have had several commissions to paint portraits of old well-loved teddy bears.

:) Thank you for visiting my shop,

About

About my work

I love to crochet because it is so creative. I enjoy the whole process from sketching my ideas, researching and selecting the colours and materials to make them and then finally seeing them turn into something finished. My ideas seem to just keep coming and before I have finished a project I am planning my next one. I mostly find inspiration in the colours and textures of nature, animals and things I liked as a child.

I learnt how to crochet using patterns but now I can write my own. My products are tried and tested before I sell them. I give my friends and family things to check the size, comfort and quality....they are very happy with this idea too because they get free hats, dishcloths and slippers! I spend a lot of time researching various yarns and materials until I find what is best suited and fit for purpose. Hats are made out of yarns that are soft, stretchy and not itchy. Slippers need to be able to withstand wear and tear so I use a thick super-chunky that can be felted. The soles are coated in rubber so they are non-slip and also they last much longer...it took a lot of experimenting to find the correct type of rubber. Dolls have to be strong enough for children to play with and I always use safety eyes.

I welcome enquiries about custom made pieces. Anything you see in my crochet range can be made in other colours, sizes for babies and children, or I can make something from your ideas. Just message me with anything you have in mind. :)
