Hello,
Thank you for visiting my shop here on Etsy. From an early age I was working with my dad doing DIY and building. He taught me the old carpentry ways where power tools were not that common and looking after your tools were as important as being a craftsman. I remember those weeks of training on dovetails, and rebating with a hand plane. I got into wood turning quite a while ago when I got my first, secondhand lathe. I completed some courses and began to practice. I instantly enjoyed the head space it gave me where I could focus everything on what I was making. My Wife bought me a pen making kit as a present, I had not considered it previously. One I got everything I required I had a pop at it, and discovered I really enjoyed it! There are many different ways of finishing a pen and if you have the right kit can us imagination in its creation. I only use excellent quality pen kits which ensures you get a great looking and long lasting pen.
I also like to use mixed types of hardwoods into an item. My early days of training taught me lots about craftsmanship and making an excellent item, it also taught me you must love what you do and enjoy doing it.
I create all the items in my shop from my small workshop.
