About CaritasWoodworking
-
“Simple” is not the same as “easy”. This shelf got just as much care as any complex project.
-
Contrasting wood types can look wonderful together. Her you can see two types of Oak, some Pine and some Mahogany.
-
When I say handmade; I mean it. Although wood is milled by machine, every other operation is carried out by hand
-
Here's pretty much the entire tool kit used; I built the tool chest too.
-
I also make furniture too. This is a computer desk being built for someone.
Traditional Woodworking using Traditional Handtools
I started out building 'stuff' out of necessity and found I loved it. I gravitated to woodworking with an emphasis on Craftsman style furniture - I love the simple, bold lines. Once I ditched the machines and went 'unplugged' I discovered my true love - real woodworking using traditional methods. Some of the tools I use are over 100 years old and still going strong; building furniture that will last 100 - 150 years at least.

Owner
For years I was a Woodworker trapped in an IT Manager's body. Recently made redundant, I am finally able to try and pursue my dream of making my way in the world as a full time woodworker. Caritas means "care": I care about every project I do.
