Hi, I'm a Norfolk, UK, based artist who makes prints, books and textile work inspired by Moby-Dick and Historic British Arctic Whaling. I make large, narrative textile panels for shows and exhibitions in relevant cultural/heritage settings, but I also make smaller works, abstract or inspired by my larger works, or incorporating digitally printed imagery from my research. Quite often samples or fabrics from larger works will inspire me to make the smaller pieces of embroidery. I use choose a couple of key elements and build the piece around them working intuitively and enjoying using a range of thread, materials and techniques.
