Can I install the furniture facing the other way?

Our furniture is modular and arrives disassembled. This means you can install the furniture facing either right or left on your wall. You can also combine any of our furniture pieces or create your very own personalized layout.

What if I need more hardware?

We can definitely help you get the hardware you need. Please contact us if you are in need of hardware and we can facilitate a manual order to get that hardware shipped to you. Typically, we ask that you pay the shipping cost. For domestic US orders, this cost tends to be a few dollars.

Can I install the furniture into brick or concrete?

Yes, you can install our furniture into either of those surfaces! This will require additional hardware that we do not supply ourselves. You will need a masonry bit and we recommend Tapcon screws for these materials. Once you have the correct hardware, you can follow the instructions as normal.

Installing the furniture into brick or concrete is easy because you can treat the entire surface as one large stud. Please note that if you are installing into brick, you should avoid drilling into the mortar between the bricks. Make sure you are drilling into the brick itself.

What materials do I need to install the furniture?

You will need the following materials to mount the furniture:

- Power Drill
- Stud Finder
- Tape Measure
- Pencil

All other materials such as hardware, drill bits, levels, and instructions will be included with your purchase.

What kind of hardware comes with the furniture?

All of our furniture comes with the necessary mounting hardware per the instructions for that item. We use standard wood screws as default for installing the furniture into your studs. If you need hardware for metal studs, please leave a note letting us know that you have metal studs. You can also send us your order number after you've placed your order and ask us to add the hardware.

We also use furniture bolts to clamp the furniture in place on the Mounting Planks. If you are planning a custom layout where two bamboo pieces will share a mounting point, you will need our long furniture bolts. These will not come as default with all orders but can be added free of charge. The process to request hardware is described above.

What if I have metal studs?

We recommend mounting the furniture using #8 x 2” flat Phillips-head tek screws for metal studs. We also have these screws available upon request. If you leave a note on your order or contact us, we can include them with your order at no additional cost.

Can I install the furniture outside?

We do not recommend our products for outdoor use due to the high starch and sugar content of the bamboo components. The bamboo can develop mold over time in areas with high humidity or regular exposure to rain and the elements. We are working towards a product that is durable enough for the outdoors, but for now, we ask that our furniture is used indoors only.
