Announcement    PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SHIPPING, DELAYS AND SUCH BEFORE PURCHASING! THANK YOU! Click Read More below to see this info.

**UK SHIPPING**

UK orders are usually dispatched same or next day, always by First Class mail. Please note that UK mail is potentially subject to delay due to mail travelling through areas that are under local lockdown restrictions. Whilst these delays are unfortunately inevitable, they are completely outwith my control.

I cannot speed up or guarantee standard First Class shipping unfortunately but if your item is not with you more than 7 WORKING days after dispatch, please let me know. For your reference, working days are counted as Monday - Friday.

You may upgrade your shipping at checkout to either first class signed for (which has a reference number to confirm delivery, NOT a tracking number) or guaranteed next working day service (tracking number included, UK only).

**INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING**

International orders are dispatched 2-3 times per week by tracked mail. A tracking number will be included with your order dispatch confirmation. Please allow 24-48 hours before tracking your order to allow time for it to enter the mail system. You can track items at https://www3.royalmail.com/track-your-item.

**USA SHIPPING**

US buyers, please be aware that mail is taking a bit longer than usual in some areas of the country. It seems the delay is with USPS backlogs in handling mail. Once your item enters the USPS system, you can sign up for updates on its movements on their website. Simply track the item and you'll be given the option where it is available. Please know that your item it IS coming.

**CANADA SHIPPING**

Mail to Canada is notoriously slower than to the USA from the UK. You can track your package with the tracking number from your dispatch confirmation. Once your item enters the Canadian mail system, you can sign up for updates on its movements on their website. Simply track the item and you'll be given the option where it is available. Please know that your item it IS coming.

**AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING**

Mail to Australia and New Zealand is reportedly slower than usual from the UK. You can track your package with the tracking number from your dispatch confirmation. Please know that your item it IS coming.

**TRUE COLOURS**

Capturing the true colour of the aida I sell is basically the bane of my existence. Trying to photograph anything in Scotland is a weather-based crapshoot at best and everyone's computer screen or phone resolutions are also different, so some small variances are to be expected!

To keep this to a minimum, I take images in as close to natural light as possible, with minimal editing to try to reflect the true colour, shade and vibrancy of the fabric as possible. If you feel something has been massively misrepresented, please just get in touch - I'm only human after all. My business genuinely exists only to make your cross stitch dreams come true, so I appreciate you letting me know, so we can work on a solution together, if you have any queries.

If you're in any doubt about shade, tone, depth of colour, please just ask for more photos or details. I am also happy to lend my opinion on what fabric might work best for your project - just ask! As an avid cross stitcher myself, I am more than happy to help you make your projects the best they can be.

**CUSTOM ORDERS**

Need different quantities or sizes? Just ask! I often have offcuts or bigger pieces and am happy to do custom sizes. Please allow 1-2 weeks for custom sizes, as if I don't have it in stock, I will order it specially for you!

Want a particular print? You can make a suggestion or request by sending me a message. Custom prints are available - if you want to price this, please send a message. Please note that minimum order quantity and value applies for custom prints.

**FABRIC CARE**

The manufacturer of this aida does not recommend using detergents. For fabric care advice, please visit https://clairebrownxstitch.com/pages/fabric-care.

Cross Stitch For The Modern Age

I learned to cross stitch when I was at school. The first thing I made was a mat that proclaimed my love for my favourite pony, Sparky. After school, I didn't give cross stitch a second thought until I was in my early 20s. Once I picked up the needle again, I was hooked!

I've been designing and producing my own cross stitch patterns and kits for over 15 years now, first under the guise of Miso Funky then as The Bellwether and now as myself. My work has been featured in magazines all over the world, on UK television and is even owned by several celebrities that some of my work is inspired by.

I've exhibited at numerous events, including Bust Craftacular, Renegade Craft Fair and Pulse. I've written articles on indie craft for several print publications, as well as blogs, and designed cross stitch projects for Cross Stitcher magazine and Craft Tuts+. I've contributed projects to several books, including Craftydermy and Lazy Girl's Guide To Sewing and have been featured in the book Enterprise Nation - Working 5-9. I've even been featured in Mollie Makes magazine as their Tweeter of the month!

Behind my work is just a simple desire to make people smile. Cross stitch is a much-maligned art form and I want to design things that are simple to make but look great - that's the ethos behind everything. That's carefully balanced by ensuring that work is of a high quality and packaged nicely, too.

** Fabric care **

The use of detergents on printed aida is not recommended by the manufacturer. A light wash without detergents is recommended, if washing is necessary at all:

Allow the fabric to soak for as long as you need, gently patting the fabric occasionally. Do not rub or scrub the fabric.

Do not wring the fabric to dry - instead, lay it out flat on a towel and roll it up to ab

Unroll and lay the fabric out flat to air dry.

Once dry, lay the fabric stitched side down on a clean towel and iron on reverse, using steam if required.

If absolutely necessary to use a detergent, do not use biological materials and ALWAYS sample test a small piece with NON-biological detergent before proceeding. Ensure fabric is rinsed well.
