A little about myself- with catering and hospitality running through our families veins. I as well as my twin brother became chefs. We would get excited about the produce- the colour, texture and of course the taste. How we could translate that ingredient into a whole new attire.
Being a chef is like a crafter, a creator, a artist. In my small amount of hours out of the kitchen I loved nothing more than to create at home, be it a chunky winter scarf as the fire roars, colourful bunting for warm summer alfresco evenings, chutney or a accessory I could wear. I was always creating, it’s my hobby, my love. Like cheffing you never stop learning.

Something great about that isn’t it... to learn, create, grow and love each step of the process!

Anyway! So as I got towards my 30s and I was fed up with the hour commute each way and 100 hour weeks... I settled down in a job as a stepping stone, continuing my crafting for myself and home and started a family. I have a very energetic, kind little boy. So as I raise him and juggle everyday life and everything that comes with parenthood I wondered how I could make a living to support myself and a child. For it to be flexible so I can be my best self as a full time working mother.
It all started as I reflected on childhood traditions that I was brought up with. Some warming, some continued and some laughable. One funny one that springs to mind was how the tooth fairy was short lived as my mum woke me as she rummaged for my tooth under my pillow. That’s how the peekaboo tooth bunnies were designed - that then snowballed into other creations.
You may ask why coast and country? I was fortunate enough to be brought up with a mum who was from a farming background and my dad that always had to have the ocean view from his window. So I truly had the best of both worlds. Two of my favourite places to be, where I’m relaxed, inspired and my truth self.
So as I write this bio I realise I’m living my dream, to create and share. Be a mum and work a job I absolutely love.
