I can’t say enough about the lovely surprise I received when I opened my package. This vendor presented me with a lovely brooch, but it came wrapped in the arms of a small Teddy Bear. Upon loosening the ties, the bear’s arms opened and the brooch was nestled on its chest. It just made me smile and wonder about this person in Latvia whom I don’t know, but whose gesture made me feel hopeful and connected to a perfect stranger on the other side of the world. That was worth more than the brooch, but still my brooch is lovely. Thank you!

Irina listed this porcelain heirloom as "Just a symbol of Russian soul" but it is so much more than that mere symbol. It is exquisite. And so darling that I am giving her a name - Dushechka -- the old-fashioned word for Darling (name of Chekhov story), which comes from the word, Dusha, for soul. So she is deserving of the name. She is beautiful!! Stunning! The gold glows! Dusha adorns a table in my work room and will inspire me in my work as a writer.
