Announcement   Hello and welcome everyone.
I buy all my materials in blank and then lovingly machine embroider them myself.
I love taking a blank background, then bring it to life with any of my beautiful designs in my collection.
I really enjoy personalising towels, the names I have come across the last 3.5 years have been fabulous.
Watch this space as I’m still updating and working on new listings.
I'll be listing more personalised towels over the next few weeks.
Thank you everyone for supporting and visiting my Etsy shop so far.
Crafty Regards
Coralie

About

Crafting is my therapy, business & way of life

Welcome to my little world of Coralie's Crafts & Gifts

I got into crafting many years ago, when I used to go and stay with my lovely Auntie Enid in Beeston, Leeds during the school holidays. This is where I first learnt to knit, I helped my Auntie to knit dishcloths. I loved it.

I then continued to learn different crafts when I was at boarding school, I made clay houses, fluffy dog toys, and much more. I was then taught to crochet, and I was hooked straight away. Lunchtimes, break times and evenings I was always crocheting. In 1989 I learnt the delicate art of hand embroidery, our project was to embroider a design onto fabric to make it into a cushion. I decided for whatever reason I wanted to do a cockerel, hours of work went into it, unfortunately the detail was too delicate to be made into a cushion, it is now framed and hangs in pride of place in my kitchen.

Over the many years since leaving school, I've picked up my crochet every now and then. It was when I joined the army back in 1999 that I then picked up my crochet hook again making baby blankets for friends.

In 2008 I was bought my first sewing/embroidery machine to replace my rather old sewing machine, that I was then hooked on machine embroidery. I then bought the Brother PE design software, so I could start converting designs into embroidery logos.

I'm out of the army now after being medically discharged back in 2013 for mental health reasons. Crocheting, knitting, and working on my embroidery machine is so important for me. If I'm not doing something everyday of the week related to my crafts, I find that my Mental health deteriorates.

I feel really lucky that my crafts is not just my business, but my way of life and my therapy. It makes me so happy when someone loves what I make.

Thank you for visiting my shop.

"I'm the mad nutter in a coffee shop, soft play area normally crocheting in the corner." The best thing about my job is being able to craft, the joy I get when people really love what I make is just amazing.
