Announcement
I haven't worked out the dates for this years Etsy updates yet but hope to have it done by the beginning of February.
** NEXT UK SHOW: Miniatura 18th & 19th March 2023, NAEC, Stoneleigh ** ** NEXT ETSY UPDATE TBC **
I would like to thank everyone who has visited at a show/Etsy and supported me throughout 2022. Every order, kind word, lovely review and photograph has really made a difference!! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2023!
Please note Europe: I think I may have to stop shipping to EU as of June 2023 due to the increase packaging laws and costs which is making it too expensive to post. I have been taking the costs in house the last couple of years but so far it hasn't been worth it for me. I am sorry about this, it's not something I like to do but its becoming unviable to continue. That or I will have to further increase the cost of posting which I'm not sure about yet.
Please note: I will not be taking on many custom orders this year as I have so much to make for the shows and want to spend some time making new things. If I have already been in touch about an order, don't worry I am still working on it.
For anyone in the UK around Bristol/Gloucester- you can find Laura's work at the The Art Barn (Thornbury, BS35 2HB). Open on Saturdays 10am-2pm or by appointment in the week- contact details are on The Art Barn website or facebook page.
Please do get in touch with any questions. If your enquiry is about Jan & Pauls work it may take me a little longer to get back to you as I may have to get in touch with them first to find out the answer. Best wishes and take care, Laura.
Buying a gift for someone in the UK? Let me know in the message to seller at the check out and I'll make sure it's specially boxed or wrapped.
Sending a gift overseas - Unfortunately I am unable to send items as gifts internationally. I have to put a customs form with all international parcels declaring the sale of goods, value and contents of the parcel - there is no way this can be avoided as I have to declare what is inside.

The Country Treasures story and UK show dates
At Country Treasures you will see a range of miniatures for the kitchen, pantry, garden and study, made by myself, Laura Brownhill. I make an array of items such as blue tits on coconuts, bird feeders, apples, mice eating cheese, taxidermy cases, glass butterfly domes and much more!
The Country Treasures story began in the 1970’s with my grandparents Jan and Paul Brownhill. With Jan’s artistic mind and Paul’s engineering skills they worked together to create unique & original dolls house miniatures which were a must see at any dolls house show! They made authentic Victorian era items ranging from preserves of fruit and veg, rabbits on the chopping board, pheasants hanging from the ceiling and sacks of potatoes in the pantry. Along with beautiful Victorian Ranges, a broad range of real copperware, metal accessories and furniture to kit out a whole kitchen.
In 2014 I started attending the shows with my grandparents and we worked as a team until we sadly lost my grandad in 2021. During this difficult time and with my grandparents blessing, I chose to continue running Country Treasures with my own work. Having grown up closely with my grandparents, miniatures have always been a part of my life. During my time at university I began making little butterflies under domes and paint box settings whenever I had the chance. Whilst volunteering with The Wildlife Trust, and much inspired by the nature around me, I started to combine my love for the countryside with miniatures. I made my first little robin from polymer clay in 2013.
Having grown up in the Staffordshire countryside my work is largely inspired by the rural lifestyle and in seeing all the nature around me. I make all the birds myself, sculpting them from polymer clay and then carefully painting them by hand. I also use an entire range of materials to create my miniature pieces. My favourite material still being polymer clay as it is so versatile for different projects.
Please note we are currently not selling any of Jan & Paul's work online. Occasionally some of their work does pop up for sale on eBay so it is always worth looking on there.
The Etsy shop will usually be closed when it is close to show events.
