This all started with a knitted vegan tea cosy for sale. Until then I was unaware of Etsy and oh my, what delight it was to discover this handmade haven in our man made world! My mother had taught me to knit when I was about 6. As she was left handed I have no idea how she managed to teach me, but thanks to her it started a lifelong fibre passion.

I've always loved making things and still enjoy trying different crafts (some of them badly) but I really love yarn and all things fibre and woolly. My other weakness is obviously beads.

After starting to knit lace patterns I realised just how important stitch markers are. As I had already had a brief flirtation with making jewellery, it seemed a shame to let all those beads snooze in their boxes, they should be put to work!

I'm so lucky that is my full time job, working at home in my studio or outside in the garden in the summer usually with a cat audience. I design and make all the markers myself and try to make them practical as well as pretty as there is nothing worse than a marker catching in your yarn.

I also delight in dyeing yarns and fibres for knitting and spinning. The endless combinations of colours keep me entranced for hours.

I pride myself on my customer service. Items are mounted on a display card, and gift wrapped by me, accompanied by a hand written note.

Internet selling can be very cold and impersonal and I want to try and make you feel valued as a customer as if you'd walked into a shop. I mainly hang out on Instagram but you can also find me on Facebook or Ravelry as there is nothing better than seeing my markers on WIP's by others.
