Announcement    Sustainability Policy-

Although we produce 3D printed plastic we do take our role in the life of teh planet seriously. We do this in the following ways.

1- Waste plastic is kept to an absolute minimum. The plastic used is PLA and Biodegradable over time. It does not use fossil oils to produce and is made from plant oils.
2- Because our products are meant to be kept they are not "Disposable" plastic.
3- All our boxes are responsibly sourced and have a recycled content of 60 - 90% we use brown boxes to reduce bleaching.
4- Our voidfill is 100% recycled paper. Please recycle it again and let it have a happy reincarnation.
5- Sometimes we will reuse boxes from filament supplies or deliveries to us. This helps prevent additional waste.
6- Efforts are taken to make packages as light as possible to reduce delivery carbon footprints. ETSY as a company also make efforts to offset this.

If you can think of any other strides we can take to reach the future but retain the planet or have any questions please drop us a line paul [!at] creativecloisters.com

Part one and two is in front. Part three and four are printing behind on Rosie. Parts five and six will go on tomorrow. It's a slow process this game but my customer should have a complete product ready to ship by Monday. #behindthescenes #3dprinting

About CreativeCloisters

Sales 3,263
On Etsy since 2016

3D printing all the worlds, one item at a time.

IMPORTANT:
I am currently due to be on holiday from 23rd August. No prints will be shipped the following week and there will be a backlog on my return.

If you cannot wait that long please contact me for a refund.

I will do my utmost to fulfil any new orders before I depart but I cannot guarantee this.

----------------------------------------------
Creative Cloisters sprang from my passion for unusual and future tech. Always ready to check out the next big thing 3D printing became a great target to strive towards.

After hefty research a printer was bought and the process of learning how best to print and design began. After a while, once things began to pile up on shelves all around the house, the idea was floated to open a shop on Etsy for custom printed and designed goods. So Creative Cloisters was born.

Running as a Mom and Pop (3 kids and 2 cats) outfit we are not large and sometimes it all seems a bit much for my little printer. I have had some fantastic customers though and I am very proud of our rating and customer satisfaction levels. I am also very proud of the fantastic calibre of customer we seem to attract.

I can also take commissions for items such as cosplay props or costume details. If you are looking for something in particular or odd please hit me up, I may be able to model you just the thing.

I use an Original Prusa i3 Mk2.5S and a Prusa i3 Mk3S. These are regularly one of the highest rated printers at its level and considered an industry leader. I also now offer hi resolution resin printing.

I want you to love what I make and tell your friends. If you don't like your purchase I will happily take it back and refund you.

Etsy has now become so successful that I have decided to branch into my own hosted shop and blog. Feel free to check them out at www.creativecloisters.com

Shop members

  • Paul

    Owner, Creator, Designer

I am the owner of Creative Cloisters, just a humble guy that loves tech. Some people call me a nice guy.

  • Suzanne

    Customer Service, Shipper

My beloved other half and someone you may encounter should you have a complaint. Luckily she isn't that busy so we are obviously doing something right.

  • Jessica

    Media Manager, Model, Trainee

Jessica is our media manager, by this I mean she likes to sit on Facebook making political posts. She also manages our Instagram account and is training to use the 3D printer. If you look carefully you will see Jessica in some of the item photos.

  • Emily

    Tea Maker, Assistant

Emily wanted to help, I suggested she made tea. She does occasionally. She is also a fantastic muse and her knowledge of Robins is second to none!

  • Daniel

    Designer, Dispatcher

Daniel once designed something. He has a great wit and an even better ability to post orders.

  • Jasmine

    Studio Cat

Jasmine loves to sit and watch the 3d printer. She also loves to come and sit in the studio for a chat when I am setting up.

  • Shadow

    Office Cat

Shadow take offense at the office (2D) printer. He get very excited when he sees paper sucked in to print and sometimes you will see his claw marks on your invoices. He is also a massive Scooby Doo fan.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

If you want a custom order please contact me for a no obligation price.

Sizing details

I try to size as accurately as possible but obviously variations can occur.

How long will my item take to arrive?

Items are sent by Royal Mail and should arrive within 2 - 3 days in the UK and 5-7 elsewhere. However items have been known to get delayed or lost so please allow 10 Working Days in the UK, 20 Working Days in Europe and 25 Working Days elsewhere from my postage notification for your delivery to arrive. (This follows Royal Mail loss guidelines)

If it still has not arrived after this time please contact me.

Do you have it in X colour

Probably!

If you don't see your choice listed drop me a line, I may have the colour or be able to get it for you. Some colours, however, cannot be obtained as they dont exist or are prohibitively expensive to ship to the UK.

Isn't 3D printing fragile?

NO!

A well printed item can be extremely robust. Thin pieces can snap depending on design but that is true for any material.

I think most people are surprised at how tough 3D printed items are.

Of course flaws can occur in any print and may not always be visible or noticed. Please do not be shy to contact me if something breaks.

Why will my print take so long? Can't you just throw one out.

All prints take time to do. As this is my second job I also need to arrange my printing around work. Additionally I only (currently) have the one printer.

That said my turnaround is generally well within the estimates and I rarely exceed the shipping times unless external forces such as plastic orders intervene.

I have a problem!

CONTACT ME!

I think I am a nice guy, some would say too nice. I want all of my customers to think that too.

I have ordered several items and the postage has become astronomical.

I will normally spot and refund highly excessive postage costs. Contact me before ordering if you are really concerned about this and I will give you a set price.

Why isn't X option on Y item? It seems obvious to have that option!

I am a better 3D Maker than I am a shopkeeper. The odds are "I done goofed". Let me know and I will fix it!

Can you print in ABS or other materials.

ABS is a more difficult material to print and produces fumes when being printed therefore I do not tend to use it.

On larger items an ABS print is less likely to be successful as it can split when cooling and as it takes more energy to heat the print bed it is also more expensive.

I can print in ABS but in most cases I won't. Feel free to ask but it will cost more and may be unfeasible for my setup.
