Working, often intuitively is how I love to express, and translate the ideas that inspire me from what I see around me.

I create my images using fabric, often dyed and painted by me, Cath Stonard, and then embellish with thread by 'drawing' over the surface with free motion machine stitch, building up wonderful textures and depth.

Colour is also an important element in my art, and I love to experiment with paints and dyes, to achieve the rich and vibrant results that I desire. Stitching, often by machine, but sometimes also by hand is for me, the icing on the cake.

Most of what I create is for hanging on the wall, usually behind glass, but mounting some pieces onto a canvas is also an option that I use. You will also find smaller textile pieces in my shop, and these I like to mount onto greetings cards, which can be framed by the recipient as a beautiful keepsake.

Some of my art is now being reproduced as digital prints, giving buyers a more affordable option. These prints are produced with Canon pigments inks, on beautifully smooth Matte Papers.

I am very happy with my concertina book of robins. It is quite delightful and beautifully presented to allow it to be displayed or tucked away in its rag paper cover. I have bought it as a present for a friend but will find it difficult to part with.

Recently retired, I have been looking forward to this time when I can really get down to some serious art making.

Although I have always managed to find the time to create my textile and mixed media pieces, and to sell in local galleries and to friends and family, it has been my dream to be able to spread my wings and to sell to a wider audience.

The world wide web is a wonderful thing, giving opportunities to makers and artists around the globe to showcase what they do, and one that I now intend to make full use of.

I will post first class to the UK, and Internationally. If you require your item to be tracked, signed for or insured, please contact me first.
