My Journey as a Textile Artist

I am an Artist, Maker & Tutor based in Sheffield. I gained a BA (hons) Degree in Fashion & Textiles at the UCE in Birmingham, graduating in 1994.

My work is inspired by nature and my garden. I use mixed media in my work including painting, mono-print, fabric, paper & embroidery to create one-off art pieces.

I’ve worked with high end retailers including, Habitat, Liberty, Paperchase, The Conran Shop, John Lewis, Harrods, Heals & Waterstones; and continue to sell my work locally through shops and galleries, and at Art & Craft events.
I also work to commission creating bespoke wall art, handmade cards and gifts for individuals.

I love city life and also enjoy living close to the countryside, on the edge of the Peak District.

I enjoy inspiring others to be creative and run regular embroidery & mixed media workshops and weekly classes teaching adults & teenagers. In 2001 I set up an Afterschool Art Club which I ran for 19 years, working with 4-11 year olds on a wide range of Art & Craft projects.
