All of the hats in my Etsy shop are handmade, by me, in my little garret workroom. None is factory produced, or mass produced.

I have set designs, which I will reproduce, or which can be used as a base idea for a custom piece. Obviously, as everything is handmade, and mostly hand sewn, there may be small variations in actual pieces - this isn't a flaw, it's the nature of hand made, as I'm sure all Etsy-ans appreciate.
Talking of custom pieces... while I have no problem with people sending me pictures of work by other milliners or designers to use as a guide, I will not make an exact copy of somebody else's work - that's mean, so please don't ask me to!

I also have a 'Limited Collection', pieces from which will be listed here as they are available. Each piece is a numbered limited editions (usually of between 1 and 10), and is made from fabrics and materials of which I have a limited supply, that I cannot replace.

My hats will all be shipped in a hatbox (for storage), and an outer postal box, and all are packaged with lashings of tissue paper.

Returns and exchanges
I want all my clients to be overjoyed with every piece I make.

If you're not happy for any reason, please contact me directly, via a convo, or via debbie [!at] deborahwalton.co.uk, to discuss the issue.

Please note, though, that while custom made, and customised pieces cannot be returned outright, I am happy to carry out alterations, corrections, etc, if you have a problem with a piece, provided you let me know within 7 (calendar) days of receiving it.
Payment
For UK clients I can accept payment by paypal, banker's draft, personal cheque, or postal order.
For international clients, by paypal, or personal cheque (in most currencies).

I am happy to discuss payment by installments, or a lay-away plan, but please contact me prior to buying to discuss.

Please note that as a very small business, I do not currently charge VAT (sales tax) on any of my items.
Shipping
All the items I sell are made in the UK, so obviously, this is where I ship from!

I use either the Royal Mail, or a reliable carrier or courier (whichever is the most appropriate).
All items are sent via a trackable method where possible, and all will require a signature upon delivery. All parcels are insured.

If you're outside the UK, and in a rush for a piece to be delivered, I can arrange a Fed Ex or similar delivery - contact me for details.

For international (non-EU) clients: please be aware that you will be responsible for all customs fees and duties. These are charged by your government, at the point of entry to your country - I have no control over them, and can accept no responsibility for them.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am happy to discuss both custom pieces, larger orders, and wholesale orders.

If you'd like to have a chat about these, or any other matter, please feel free to contact me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

I am happy to discuss wholesale pricing to potential trade stockists. contact me to open a conversation.

Obviously, everything I make is hand made. As such there may be minor variations between delivered pieces, and the photographs in my listings. These are part of the charm of handmade, and should not be considered to be faults.
