Announcement    ♡ IMPORTANT ♡ CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES: 6-10 WEEKS ♡
I am on maternity leave as I just had my little baby boy James Arthur. Replies will be slow but I am doing my best friends, thank you so much for your patience. Processing times are long, because I'm adjusting to life as a parent, but I'll be trying to reduce them when I can.
Processing time is the time before your order ships and shipping time is ON TOP. Check my policies for shipping estimates based on where you are.
You will receive a message from me after you order which will detail the processing time, ship-by date, shipping estimate and shipping service for your specific order (though this may take a day or two).
I do realise it is a really long time to wait so if you didn't see this info before you ordered and you can't wait, just message me to request a cancellation and refund. :)
I cannot send your order earlier except at my own discretion.

Wearable (and also non-wearable!) activism from Alyce (that's me!!) your friendly (angry!) neighbourhood feminist! Every single thing in this store is made with my own two hands - the only exception being my enamel pins, which I would make if I could but I don't have the means! :P Every single thing, including the enamel pins, is designed by me!
Your not-one-stop-shop (don't just shop here, please do support other small businesses fighting the good fight too) for wearable activism in the form of pins /badges, patches, clothing, accessories, jewellery and artwork! Get your feminist snowflake, liberal & political, social justice, LGBTQIA+ pride, mental health, chronic & invisible illness awareness and body positive on and bloody resist! ✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

New stuff weekly for sure but usually daily! Make sure to pop back for new shiny things to look at and be LOUD with! If you favourite my store, you'll get notifications on your Etsy account for new stuff too.
I post orders every working day (Monday to Friday). I do not post at weekends. Weekends are for me, this is non-negotiable.
Please take into account processing time AND shipping time when you order because they're different (see below for details).

❤ PROCESSING TIMES ❤
♡ Always check processing times before ordering - you can see this at checkout (it will say "ready to ship in ________" under the postage cost) or on the right side of the listing page! Some processing times are different from others, so please check thoroughly, especially if you're in a rush. ♡
Please remember that except for my enamel pins , I make EVERYTHING myself, in house, to order. I do not keep stock. That means that every badge, every patch, every mug, every bracelet... they are all pressed by me, printed by me, designed and sublimated by me, stamped and hammered/brushed/polished by me with my own two hands! So please, be patient, I'm only one person. <3
Please also note that processing time is not the time in which you'll receive your order, it is the time it takes me to physically make your order (and numerous orders alongside yours!), then the shipping time is on top of that.
Your order is not sent tracked unless you pay for a tracked service. If you didn't, I'm afraid I cannot track your order once it has left me; however I'll do my best to fix any issues of damage, non-delivery, etc. as it's my duty to make sure your items reach you safely regardless of the reason it didn't! :)
If your order is high value (say you order a bunch of bracelets) please upgrade to a tracked option at checkout. This is peace of mind for both of us because of the higher insurance, as I'm not a huge fan of paying out of pocket for a tracked upgrade (but I'd rather do so and have your order fully insured!) so please consider this, I'm just one person and this is my living. Of course, though, I do understand if you cannot afford to upgrade the shipping - overseas shipping can be so so expensive. All I'm asking is that if you can afford it, please upgrade if your order is high value (e.g. more than £50/$60).

❤ CHARITY ❤
Profits or part profits from some items go to various charities each tax year: these include all my black lives matters pins and prints (profits to Black Lives Matter); my "You Don't Look Sick" prints (part profits to a mental health charity); my "anything you can do I can do bleeding" enamel pins (part profit to two variable charities [blood donation and period poverty prevention]); abroad for yes badges (profit to IFPA and ASN); my "f*ck cancer" pins (profits go to St Catherine's Hospice in memory of a friend).

❤ SMALL BUSINESS ❤
Remember that most businesses you order from on Etsy are actually just individual people making everything happen themselves, with little to no help. Be kind, be patient, be understanding. <3 and please, send a message before leaving a bad review. We cannot know there's a problem unless you tell us, and leaving a bad review out of the blue is a uniquely cruel way to let us know.

I have three other stores!
Two are up and running...
- At alycewoodartist.etsy.com I sell abstract art
- At moonhammer.etsy.com I sell jewellery

Coming soon is doodlecycle.etsy.com for zero waste goods (beeswax wraps, CSP, unpaper towels, etc.) and digibirb.etsy.com (digital/printable clipart with limited and commercial licenses available).

Updates

Love these enamel mugs. They're too damn cute. Just don't put them in the microwave. That won't be cute at all pals.
Enjoying making some new mugs that match these gorgeous heart shaped pins! If you get the mug you can actually get the matching heart shaped pin for £2 - this means you save £2.50 heart_eyes

About Doodlepeople

Sales 12,927
On Etsy since 2016

I make feminist, LGBTQIA+, body positive, social justice and mental health / chronic / invisible illness awareness badges, patches, artwork, jewellery and accessories. ❤

Hi, I'm Alyce (she/they)! I'm a queer artist and the creator and owner behind Doodlepeople, i.e. I'm the angry neighbourhood feminist bitch behind this wonderful store of wearable activism! I'm a one person show so feel free to take a moment to be slightly impressed (if you aren't, that's okay too, there are people running businesses who also have kids and that's just magical!)

Drawing and creating is the only thing I've never stopped doing; because I picked up a pen when I was two and I haven't put it down for over twenty years. I love making badges, patches, art and accessories with feminist, body positive, social justice, LGBTQIA+, mental health and chronic/invisible illness themes and I like to think that the wearable activism I produce does, or can, make at least a small difference in the world; even if I wish people didn't feel they needed to buy a badge that says "don't f*cking touch me"...

Working towards equality for all every day can be exhausting sometimes, but it's absolutely always worth it and it always will be. I'll keep fighting that good fight until I can - or have to - fight no more.

I make everything in my store myself. My badges are all designed by me and pressed by me in house with my own two hands in my own badge machines. My patches are all screen printed or hand painted by me, in house. My mugs are all sublimation printed and pressed by me, myself, in house. My bracelets are all stamped and textured by me, in house. The only things I don't make are my enamel pins! Other than that, EVERYTHING in this entire shop is made by me, by my own two hands, at DoodleHQ. <3

So remember: women are people too, black lives matter, boys can cry, all bodies are good bodies, you don't have to be anti-men to be pro-women, mental illness is real, every "me too" is too many, no human is illegal, trans rights are human rights, sex work is real work, not all disabilities are visible, war is wrong, there are more than two genders, love is love, there is no planet B, pro life is anti choice and anti choice is anti feminist, self care is not selfish, catcalls are not compliments, punks respect pronouns, bodily autonomy is non negotiable, healthy isn't one size fits all, vaccines don't cause autism; and we should support each other and lift each other up. So, do no harm - but take no sh*t. ❤
Oh, and, most importantly of all: you. are. enough.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders

I do custom orders! Yay! Please do contact me if you're after something special. I can make custom badges and patches, just get in touch. :)

I have a special listing for custom/personalised bracelets here: http://etsy.me/2Iw0UiD
Please note, if you request a custom bracelet you must order through the custom bracelet listing OR select the "custom phrase" option if ordering custom lettering through a standard bracelet listing. If you don't, I will have to refund and cancel.

P.s. please don't message me asking for a badge that directly contravene one I already sell. No, I won't make a badge that says "vaccines do cause autism" or "hug TERFs". I sell my beliefs on my badges, and I won't make or sell nonsense ideas I don't agree with.

Wholesale availability

Any pins, patches or prints can be ordered in bulk and I can provide a wholesale price upon request, just ping me a message! There is a minimum unit order for bulk discounts; the more you order the better deal you'll get, up to 60% off. In the case of pin buttons, charges for preparing artwork/text start at £2.50. For patches, this custom charge is from £5. Custom art/text prep charges depend on the complexity of the design and comes down to time spent on said prep. :)

My limited prints are, of course, limited. If there are 15 left then sure thing you can have 15 but there are no price breaks on these prints. The reason for that is usually because they're for a cause (e.g. a charity).

Patch care information

Your screen printed patch will be heat sealed so that it is wash safe. Though if you are going to wash it I highly recommend a gentle hand wash. If you must wash it in a machine then make sure it's a cold wash (30 degrees will be ideal). DO NOT TUMBLE DRY IT. I use screen printing ink and it is NOT tumble dry safe.

For embroidered patches, follow the patch application/care instructions closely. A gentle cold wash is best. :)

Don't worry though, I send out patch care instructions with every patch order.

What happens when I mark my order as a gift?

All the "mark as gift" option does is remove the price from the packing slip; and you can also include an optional gift message for free.

Marking your order as a gift ~does not~ mean your order is going to come gift wrapped; gift wrap is not a service I provide for free. If you would like your order gift wrapped, you need to select the additional gift wrap option at check out and the cost will be added to your order.

Please be aware if you are outside the EU I have to declare the contents and value of your order on a CN22 customs label on the outside of the parcel. I have no choice but to do this (if I don't it may not get through), so be aware if you're sending directly the recipient they may read the CN22 and know what's inside.

Why is the shipping cost not just the cost of a stamp/the service used?

Shipping, or postage and packing, is just that: postage AND packing.

The postage cost covers not only the cost of a stamp/the service used but will also include the cost of packaging material (envelopes, customs labels, address labels); it also covers maintenance, Etsy fees (which are also charged on postage) and the cost of mail collection from my premises; it also includes time spent packaging your order and getting it ready in mail sacks, labelled for collection.

I keep postal costs down as much as possible, but they need to be covered. Don't worry, I don't make any extra money from shipping! If I think you've been overcharged (sometimes happens if you buy a lot, or because of a glitch) I'll refund you any shipping overages. :)

What service is used to ship my order?

I always ship with Royal Mail. I ship every week day; I don't ship on the weekends.

UK: for badges, stickers and mugs, I use SECOND CLASS (but you can upgrade if you wish!); for everything else I use FIRST CLASS. If your order tips over into free delivery (over £20) it'll be sent second class regardless of what it is.

Outside UK: default is International Standard (Airmail) - I won't send Economy (land/sea mail), despite it being cheaper, because it takes a million years to arrive.
Your order is NOT TRACKED as standard.

You can upgrade to a tracked service at checkout BUT except in the case of UK next day, this doesn't make anything any quicker. Processing time also does not change.

Need it yesterday? PLEASE message me BEFORE you order.

What is an intimate item?

For the purposes of my return policy, earrings are counted as an intimate item and thus cannot be returned because they're going into a body orifice (a hole in your ear!) and so I cannot resell them if they were returned. That said, if they're faulty you are fully entitled to a return and refund, of course!

What if I don't pick my order up, or my order is undelivered and gets returned to seller?

Your order may get returned to me if it's undeliverable (I.e. If you have given the wrong address or an old address and the package has been rejected), or if you don't collect your order from your local depot where it may be held for a set time following non-delivery.
If your order gets returned to me, you have two options.
Either you can get a refund (full item cost, plus standard shipping - this means if you paid for express or tracked, you only get the cost of the standard shipping back, minus the cost of any upgrade).
Your other option is redelivery. You may request to have your order resent; but you will need to pay the shipping cost again (this is to be paid via Etsy or PayPal).

Do you use plastic packaging?

Almost all of my packaging is plastic free and recycled and/or recyclable. I print my order forms on recycled eco paper and your order will be packaged in a paper candy bag within a card envelope. I may also use a bit of paper tape to seal the envelope.

Some orders have to be sent in mailer bags but they're biodegradable and I'm currently in the process of switching to biodegradable cello bags for packaging prints!

All my packaging is very, very minimal (I don't even use backing cards on my enamel pins) and is all recyclable or compostable. I'm not about pumping extra garbage into the earth when we're already on the verge of an environmental crisis, so please don't expect a lot of bells and whistles at the expense of our planet.

Print care tips

Do make sure you have a think about where you put your prints. All the inks I use are archival, which means they're lightfast... but no lightfastness is totally infinite. I'd recommend not hanging your print in the line of direct, constant sunlight. But other than that, your print should be with you a very very long time with minimal to zero change in appearance/colour.

For holo prints, be really careful how you handle them because they're prone to taking fingerprints which can be pretty noticeable! As with above, try not to hang them where they'll be continually exposed to direct sunlight.
