About

Once upon a time..

...way back in 2009, It all began with a box full of vintage cutlery and a set of rather rusty security punches. Having previously sold vintage crockery and home wares we had amassed quite a selection of pre-loved silverware and it needed to be given a purpose. I hate to think how many spoons went to scrap over the first couple of years, handstamping is definitely an art. We were determined however, and over time and with a great deal of practice we got to the point were we were ready to share our wares

We are constantly learning and developing, and we now practice our craft on a range of metals including industrial aluminium and copper, hand cutting and working with a variety of metal fonts and designs to produce purposeful and attractive gifts. We subscribe to the Arts and Crafts school of thought that you should have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. We add to that 'eco-friendly' as all our products are up-cycled in some way.

Our handstamping journey continues, and as we take our inspiration from our surroundings and the materials we come across on our travels, come along with us and see what lies around the corner...

Handstamping

Each letter and design is stamped individually by hand on our items, therefore each piece is unique and the picture you see in the listing is only a representative example.

Due to the nature of stamping there may be variations in alignment, depth and spacing of letters, each letter will not be perfectly even. Please note it is likely that there will be marks and 'bumps' on the reverse of the item, this is unfortunately unavoidable as during the stamping process metal is displaced rather than removed. This is not a defect in your piece, but makes it even more unique.

Please do contact us straight away if you receive your order and it is incorrectly spelled/ worded or not the item you ordered and we will work with you to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
