About Dot Cotton Crafts

Founded in 2015, Dot Cotton Crafts is Rachel Cotton's outlet for creativity. Coming from a long line of makers (currently five living generations of them!) Rachel has dabbled in many types of craft and is mainly self-taught. The business name came from her University days when her email address 'rachel.cotton@...' was read aloud, earning her the nickname 'Dot Cotton'! Whilst at University 'Dot' started making cards for family members as a way to save pennies and indulge in relaxing crafts, and began labelling them Dot Cotton Crafts. Little did she know this was to be her future business 10 years later.

Turning a lifelong hobby of crafting into a business, 'Dot' makes laser-cut and fused glass jewellery, hand printed cards and botanical inspired gifts. Interested in the therapeutic nature of making and creating, Dot Cotton Crafts also runs craft workshops suitable for all abilities.

Frequently asked questions
Where do you make your products?

My unique range of jewellery and cards are designed and made in my home studio in Sheffield, UK.

I design all the jewellery myself and cut/engrave them on a laser machine at the Learn Create Sell studio in Sheffield City Centre. I love working at this studio alongside other creatives and entrepreneurs and am keen to support their social enterprise work.
