Curiosity and creativity make everyday magic!
I grew up in Wales in a family with a long history of textiles, needlework and woodwork so it made sense that I inherited some creativity.
I've always loved to make things and really enjoyed art in school but I also enjoyed the sciences, which in my school were two subjects difficult to combine. I studied for two art exams in my spare time but when it came down to what was going to happen after school I chose a path into science.
That path had 7 years worth of studying and my creativity was focused on problem solving in the lab but getting married spurred me on to learn new skills and start recreating some of the cuteness of my childhood.
I've always loved drawing and in particular making up my own characters. I now make these into badges that make perfect little gifts or part favours.
In 2009 I moved from Wales to Liverpool to be with my now husband. Liverpool is a wonderful city and full of inspiration and excellent coffee shops (essential to keep the creative juices flowing!). I still work full time in scientific research which is a field I love but I also love coming home, putting a record on and creating something cute and completely different to my working day.
