Como hija única de un padre navegante, solo quería una cosa: un perro. A los 9 años, no podía creer mi suerte cuando apareció un anuncio en el periódico: mamá Cocker Spaniel tiene cachorros.
A menudo me hablaban por la calle sobre mi perrita Bonnie. Se había convertido en una mestiza maravillosa y ciertamente no era la más bonita de mi madre. Pero para mí era la perrita más linda del mundo. Era mi mejor amiga y nos divertíamos mucho juntas.
Es molesto que los perros no vivan tanto. Su muerte siempre es triste. En ese momento también te das cuenta de que tu perro también ha experimentado todos los altibajos de tu vida. Es el final de un período en el que habéis vivido vuestra vida juntos. Tu perro ha sido un apoyo y un ancla en todos los acontecimientos importantes de la vida. El vínculo con tu perro es muy valioso.
Para mostrar el hermoso vínculo entre los humanos y los animales, me he convertido en artista canina. Pinto y tejo perros. Hago cuadros personalizados de retratos de perros. Hago todo lo posible para expresar el carácter, la dulzura o su placer de tal manera que cuando mires la pintura solo puedas pensar: "Sí, este es realmente mi perro".
Mis pinturas al óleo están realizadas con la misma técnica que las de los antiguos maestros holandeses. Como las capas de pintura húmeda también se pintan juntas, los distintos colores brillan entre sí y crean profundidad en las pinturas.
Además de pintar perros, también tejo perros. Los tejo sin patrón, intentando darles las características específicas de cada raza. También puedo hacer un perro tejido, pero también puedo hacer una versión tejida de tu perro basándome en una buena foto.

I was often approached on the street about my dog Bonnie, she had grown into a wonderful mix and was certainly not mother's prettiest. But for me it was the cutest dog in the world. She was my best friend and we had a lot of fun together.
It's annoying that dogs don't live that long. Their passing is always sad. At that moment you also realize your dog has also experienced all the ups and downs of your life. It is the end of a period in which you have lived your life together. Your dog has been a support and anchor in all important life events. The bond with your dog is so precious.
To show the beautiful bond between humans and animals, I have become a dog artist. I paint and I knit dogs. I make custom dog portrait paintings. I do my best to express the character, sweetness or their pleasure in such a way that when you look at the painting you can only think: "Yes, this is really my dog."
My oil paintings are made with the same technique as those of the old Dutch masters. Because wet layers of paint are also painted together, the various colours shimmer through each other and create depth in the paintings.
Besides painting dogs, I also knit dogs. I knit them without an existing pattern, trying to give them the specific characteristics for each breed. I can also make a knitted dogs, but I can also make a knitted version of your dog based on a good photo.
