Doll Knitting Patterns & Cross Stitch Patterns

Oxford, England | 868 Sales

Announcement    I love Knitting & Stitching, any spare time I have, you will see me busy clicking needles or stitching with thread.
I hold a City & Guilds in Hand Embroidery & Sewing Machine Skills. I started designing knitting patterns & embroidery patterns in 2012.
I enjoy the repetitiveness of knitting and I love creating dolls from a variety of inspiration. I have combined my interest of historical and national costume into my doll designs. My dolls are based on Grodnertal/ Dutch Wooden Dolls.
My embroidery designs are based on Folk Art/ Naïve Art & Tartans. My maternal side is descended from the Stewart, Bruce, Campbell, St. Clair & Buchanan Scottish Clans.
My work is completely original and my designs are simple to make. All my knitting patterns are worked flat, with two needles, but they are easy enough to knit on the round.
I hope you enjoy looking at my patterns, as much as I enjoy designing them.

About Edith Grace Designs

My shop is named after my Granny Cox. Grace, as she was known, worked in the West End of London, as a Master Tailor in the fashion houses. She was evacuated to Deddington, Oxfordshire during 1941 & met my Grampy Cox. She became the local seamstress in the village of Deddington.
My doll designs are based on Grodnertal/ Dutch Wooden Dolls. My needlework designs are based on Folk Art/ Naïve Art & Tartans, which reflect my Scottish heritage.
All my patterns are original, my own ideas. It can take a few weeks to get the pattern correct, but I find it is worth it in the end.
All my patterns have a story, I have to be inspired to make something. My main sources are history, costume, nature, places I have visited & family holidays.
I hope you enjoy my work.
