Now listings for 2023:
-18th century style fall-front, back-laced trews in vintage cotton calico - great option for pirates and others who want something uncivilised.
-the ladies chemise in soft fine cotton lawn is back - really popular not just for re-enactors and performers but also for people who want nightwear that is long, loose, breathable and comfortable for sleeping in.
- I am also making new shades in mans shirts teal and blue-black, coming shortly...
I continue to make everything myself at home, sending shirts to my sister Catherine, at Elgar Shirts, for buttonholing on her industrial machine. Most items are available from stock but where an item is out of stock do message me and I will expedite it.

5 out of 5 starsThese pants fit better then modern pants. The comfort of cut and fabric suits me well. If they were more affordable I would wear these every day.

Many people are happy to put together their own costume, but they need an authentic shirt, shift or breeches on which to base their outfit.
I sell via my sister's business ElgarShirts at history-based, re-enactment and steampunk events in the UK, as well as on her website.
I am fascinated by the construction of 18th century style garments.
I cut the shirts and shifts on my kitchen table as a series of squares and rectangles. However, I sew on industrial sewing machines, so the garments I make are robustly made and well finished.
Shirts are my core business, but breeches are proving surprisingly popular.
I am often happy to make to your specification, depending on how busy I am and what you are after.
I am always keen to get your requests and suggestions for garments - these ideas take my business forward. I am always on the look out for interesting natural fabrics so please do not hesitate to contact me if you need to clear your stash.
