    Hello and welcome to Decorative Driftwood Objects by Ella Robinson! Each piece is totally unique and has been made using beachcombed driftwood, normally found on the South coast of England.

    The wood has been carefully washed and dried, then drilled, sanded down and stitched with excellent quality embroidery, or viscose, thread.

    These artworks are kind to the environment as they are made from re-used wood and produce minimum waste. The driftwood is not cut down or altered in any way, only drilled and stitched.

    I often work to commission so if there is something specific that you really want please do contact me.

    PACKAGE LOST, OR DAMAGED, IN THE POST?

    In my experience it is very rare for an item to go missing, or to become damaged during transit.

    Delivery within the UK, to CANADA, USA, THE NETHERLANDS, PORTUGAL, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND and ITALY - When sending any item I ask for a Proof of Posting from the Post Office.

    If an item does go missing, or is damaged, in the post then I will endeavour to refund you as soon as possible. The Post Office usually have to conduct an investigation before they refund the cost of lost or damaged items, in order to confirm that the item was not received by the purchaser, or that it arrived damaged. This will probably involve them contacting you (usually by email) so that you can advise the item was never received, or that it arrived damaged.

    If the item was delivered damaged then the Royal Mail will probably ask you to provide evidence of this, such as the wrapping or photographic evidence.

    Without the information (required by Royal Mail) being provided by yourself then the cost of the item cannot be refunded to you.

    Delivery to SPAIN - When sending any item I ask for a Proof of Posting from the Post Office.

    YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE REFUNDED, OR WISH TO EXCHANGE AN ITEM?

    I try my best to provide all the information possible before an item is purchased, therefore if you wish to see further photographs or ask any questions before purchasing please do not hesitate to get in contact. Unfortunately I can only refund items if you feel that you have been mis-sold, or I have provided incorrect information, which I will try my hardest to never do.

    If you wish to exchange an item then this will be possible, however I cannot refund any postage costs paid by you. I will require you to return the original item back to me, and pay the postage of this. Once I have received the original item, in the same condition it was sent out in, I can post the second item to you. However, you will have to cover the postage cost for the second item. This will result in three postage costs being paid for by you, which includes the original postage.

    If there is a difference in price for the two items then this will need to be paid by you, or refunded by me, as necessary.

    You will have seven business days from receiving delivery of your item(s) to contact me, in writing, to discuss a refund or an exchange.

    Payment
    Payment must be received in full before items are posted. Each item is unique and thus there will only ever be one.

    If you wish to cancel your order then please contact me ASAP to advise. Once an order has been dispatched the cancellation will be treated as a refund (please see the "Refund Policy" section below).
    Delivery
    I intend to send all items as soon as possible, usually within one business day of the order being placed. However, during busy periods this may stretch to between 1 and 3 business days. I will update you once the item has been posted.

    The item will then be in the care of Royal Mail until it is delivered to you. All delivery times below have been provided by Royal Mail as an estimate and sadly cannot be guaranteed.

    All items are sent by Royal Mail.

    For deliveries with the UK -
    "Royal Mail, 1st Class". Delivery aim; 1 business day (once posted). Package is not tracked. Proof of postage will be collected from the Post Office.

    "Royal Mail, 2nd Class". Delivery aim; 3 business days (once posted). Package is not tracked. Proof of postage will be collected from the Post Office.

    For deliveries to Canada and the USA - "Royal Mail, International Tracked & Signed". Delivery aim 5 to 7 business days (once posted). Tracked and proof of delivery recorded by Royal Mail. Insured for loss and damage (when proof is provided to, and accepted by, Royal Mail)

    For deliveries to Spain - "Royal Mail, International Signed". Delivery aim 3 to 5 business days (once posted). Only tracked within the UK. Insured for loss and damage (when proof is provided to, and accepted by, Royal Mail)

    For deliveries to The Netherlands, Portugal, France, Germany, Greece, Republic of Ireland and Italy - "Royal Mail, International Tracked & Signed". Delivery aim 3 to 5 business days (once posted). Tracked and proof of delivery recorded by Royal Mail. Insured for loss and damage (when proof is provided to, and accepted by, Royal Mail)

    For items sent outside of the UK - If there are any customs fees to be paid once the items have been received within the purchaser's home country then these will need to be accepted and paid by the purchaser. I will send the package with the full postage cost covered so there will be so under-payment of postage to be paid on arrival.

    Please note that if there are any restrictions on the nature of items that can be imported into your country, such as restrictions on driftwood, please bear this in mind when thinking about placing an order. I cannot be held responsible for an item not being delivered if it is a restricted import.

    Additional policies and FAQs
    If you would like me to send your purchased item via a different method, i.e. by 1st Class post, please contact me directly to discuss.

    If you would like me to post an item to a country that I have not listed please contact me to discuss and for postage costs.

    In certain circumstances it is possible that I can remove a particular colour thread from a Decorative Object and then sew it in an alternative colour, chosen by you. If this is something you wish to explore please contact me to discuss.

    I often reuse packaging materials when I send an item, mainly padded Jiffy-style envelopes. Therefore your item may be sent within a padded envelope that has already been used once before, as it was sent to me originally. This will not affect the hardiness of the wrapping whatsoever. Doing this saves on charging you any packaging costs, and is of course kinder to the environment.

    The item inside will be wrapped very carefully and neatly, nestled in tissue paper and bubble wrap, and will be gift-boxed if advised within the product description. Gift boxing can only be carried out on certain products as it is size-dependent and some pieces will sadly just not fit.

    Please bear in mind when ordering that these Decorative Objects are made from either drift, or found, wood. Therefore they are naturally a little worn away, rustic or wonky, which adds to their character, feel and individuality. The vast majority of the driftwood pieces have been in the sea for an unknown period of time and therefore bear the effects of this. If you require any additional information about a particular piece, or close-up photographs, then please get in touch and I will gladly provide this to you as soon as I can.
