A large proportion of the materials used are in limited supply as they are genuine vintage or one-off fabrics. Many items can be commissioned in different styles and fabrics so please contact us directly for a more bespoke service.

Returns and exchange details
Each one of our items of clothing and accessories is handmade from scratch, often from a very limited supply of vintage or one-off fabric, so that most items are unique.

Many of our items of clothing can also be made to order in your choice from the fabrics that we offer. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on any custom or made-to-order items but where possible we will attempt to alter the garment if required (there may be extra costs for alterations). Therefore we encourage you to take a moment to make sure that you are completely happy before placing your made-to-order / custom order.

If you have purchased one of our ready made garments and it doesn’t fit, you can return this garment for an exchange or full refund (minus any postage & packaging costs) within 14 days of the garment being received by you. We require that you email us at info [!at] theemperorsoldclothes.co.uk within 7 days if you wish to exchange or return your garment.
Payment
We accept payments via credit card, Paypal transactions and Etsy gift cards.
Shipping
All items are wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in soft plastic packets of relevant size.

We will despatch all orders within the time period displayed on each listing. We will ship all orders by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For within the UK.

If you would like your order to be posted via Royal Mail Special Delivery then please contact us directly for a quote.

Outside of the UK we use Royal Mail International Standard Mail; we can not be responsible for the loss or theft of untracked items so please do let us know if you would prefer your item to be shipped via International Tracking & Signature services.

Please note The Emperor's Old Clothes cannot be held responsible for any delays to internationally shipped items due to customs checks; in the unlikely event of a custom check the customer may incur extra customs charges.

We will send email confirmation as soon as your order has been posted.
Additional policies and FAQs
For wholesale or custom orders please contact us directly. We offer a bespoke service to UK customers and a semi-bespoke service to international customers; please enquire for further details.
