5 out of 5 starsLovely cotton hip pouch.I dont think there's many to buy in cotton. Came quickly. I needed it for indoors and garden for my phone. If you have really large hips it will not be long enough if you like to wear it on hips. Ok for me. I am size 18 .Just big enough for samsung galaxy and perhaps keys.

About Fabrilushus
Fabrics R Lush
Fabrilushus came about purely by chance. If you had asked me even a few years ago if I would ever be selling my own hand sewn creations in an online shop, well I would have rolled on the floor laughing. ROFL! You see, I had never sewn a thing in my life, nothing at all. In fact somewhere in the depths of my parents house there will be an unfinished apron from my school days! My school days were a Long time ago. A really LONG time ago.
Since those happy go lucky days, so long ago, I have married and had 5 children. My life was a very busy one and I loved bringing up my family. They are all grown up now and flown the nest. They have even given me 5 grandchildren so far.
I never suffered empty nest syndrome but I did find that I had lots more time for myself and as I hate to have nothing to do, I looked around for a new challenge. Even then it wasn't really my own choice to get into sewing. It happened again by chance. My eldest daughter wanted to learn and I agreed to learn with her.
We got lucky when a retired teacher friend from my husband's school offered to teach us. She started from the very basics and even had us sewing straight lines in paper to begin with. We progressed on to curves after that! Now 2 years on we are both running our own shops and designing our own stuff. If I say so myself she has taught us well!
Just over a year ago my husband and I upped sticks and moved out into the Lincolnshire Fens and the pace of life became slower. Our new house had a spare room which has been turned into my very own sewing room. I began to sew more and more often. I started selling on Ebay which went quite well but wasn't really the outlet that I wanted. After some research into online selling, I found Etsy and knew that I had found what I was looking for. The rest, as they say, is history.
I opened Fabrilushus in January 2013 and now I am happily spending every afternoon in my little sewing room with my dogs at my feet, dreaming up ideas and sewing away to my hearts content. Sometimes I even forget the time and am only reminded when the dogs start telling me that "Dad will be in very soon, time to cook dinner".
Talking of dogs, they are my other passion. I love them all. You will often find dog related items in my shop. I am a volunteer worker at a rescue kennels here in the Fens called Three Counties Dog Rescue. One of the things that I do for them is to try and raise money and to that end 10% of every sale that I make is donated to them.
They are a registered charity and you can see them here:

So that is the story of Fabrilushus. I am really proud of it and the items that I sell. I am proud to call myself a designer and maker. Every item that I make is made with love in every stitch and I really hope that you will love my creations as much as I do.
