Ho iniziato il mio negozio nei primi anni '70 con i miei inizi nel settore dell'abbigliamento vintage dove acquistavamo balle di capi vintage, le pulivamo e le vendevamo. Tessuti come vecchi tendaggi e panni di corteccia erano una fonte di creatività.
Abbiamo realizzato gilet cappelli revisione abiti con inserti e abbellimenti applicati. C'erano gradi di abbigliamento che potevano essere acquistati. Ad esempio, potremmo fare 2 in jeans e vestiti, il che significava che erano danneggiati o macchiati e li avremmo alterati in altri oggetti. Giacche corte gonne ecc.
Il business vintage era piuttosto eccitante in quei tempi perché gran parte dei capi dell'era del Silver Screen di New York e Hollywood erano ancora disponibili e in ottime condizioni. Ora tali indumenti sono rari e difficili da trovare in uno stato indossabile.
Al giorno d'oggi ci sono molte fonti per riproduzioni di capi antichi e vintage.
Questa è la mia competenza. Ho collezionato negli anni tessuti e fantasie vintage di cui ho a disposizione i miei clienti Etsy per capi su misura, ho anche una vasta collezione di fantasie multi misura. I started my shop in the early 70's with my beginnings in the vintage clothing business where we would purchase bales of vintage garments, clean them and sell them. Fabrics such as old draperies and bark cloth was a source of creativity.
We made vests hats overhaul dresses with inserts and appliqued embellishments. There were grades of clothing that could be purchased. For example we could by 2nds in jeans and dresses, which meant they were damages or stained and we would alter them into other items. Short jackets skirts etc.
The vintage business was quite exciting during those times because so much of the New York and Hollywood Silver Screen Era garments were still available and in great condition. Now such clothing is rare and difficult to find in a wearable state.
Nowadays there are many sources for reproductions for antique and vintage garments.
This is my expertise. I have over the years collected vintage fabrics and patterns of which I have available to my Etsy customers for custom made garments, I have an extensive collection of multi sized patterns too.
