About FlowersFortyFive
Painting has been one of my favourite pastimes since childhood. When I had my first child, I thought it would need to be put on hold, but I found that I could still paint small watercolours while she took naps. I decided to make this a daily habit while on maternity leave. Since the naps were almost always forty-five minutes long, there just enough time to complete a small painting and usually listen to a favourite record, too. This daily practice allowed me to refine my style and as the naps got longer, the complexity of the paintings developed, and FlowersFortyFive was born.
I specialise in flowers because I love colour and the joy of creating beautiful combinations of hues on a page.
