Hi welcome to Earth Arts, I am Thomas and have been involved in making woodland crafts, recreating ancient artefacts, paintings, jewellery and survival knives for many years. I enjoy working with many different materials, and when I started making knives for my survival students, I in inadvertently inspired my oldest son to become a blacksmith. Whenever I got the forge out he would be there helping from the tender age of 7. We are currently collaborating on the knife making and I am hoping to be able to offer some items made by him in the future.
I have been flint knapping for at least 18 years and am somewhat addicted to it. You will often find me breaking flints in my woods. I have been hafting the flint blade in to antler handles for about ten years. Several flint pieces I made appeared in a film called Hawk along with many other hide, bark and wooden items. I am available to consult with production designers/ managers for this type of prop making and advice to create a more authentic production.
The antler jewellery is a new departure. It has emerged from creative experiments working with antler to make hammers and flint knapping tools. (Some of these will be on sale soon). Over the last six years I have ¬¬worked alongside a well-respected jewellery designer so it’s good to see that something has rubbed off. The cufflinks I designed and made during this period.
I trained as a sculptor and spent many years practising and teaching green wood crafts. I still carve wood and will in due course add some carved wooden pieces to the shop. I still make round wood furniture and can make pieces to order.
I will also put some paintings in the shop I tend to mostly paint landscape in acrylics.

I am looking forward to sending you some beautiful bespoke crafted items soon.
