Hello! I’m Miles, the guy behind the GUNK! Thank you so much for stopping by my shop, I hope you find some treats for yourself or someone you love!

Here you’ll find art, prints, stationary, dolls, apparel, accessories, jewellery, zines and more all designed or made by me alongside the rest of my practice!

I’m an award-winning Scottish illustrator, creating bold, punky, mixed-media illustrations in both still and moving image. Just like we are socially sanctioned from letting the snot drip from our noses, we’re taught to contain the messier parts of the human condition. My work invites us to embrace the wobbly bits of our brains and bodies, through education, humour and compassion. My projects are always designed to combine social engagement with entertainment. Common themes in my work include mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, sexual health and body positivity. 

When not scribbling away, I can be found with my first love: music (sorry, drawings!) My aesthetic inspiration often comes from musicians who use visuals to enhance the experience of their work. Whilst the majority of GUNK illustration can currently be found in the charity sector, I also have a passion to visually bring music and entertainment to life, as well as collaborate with socially engaged brands and organisations.
