What makes my paintings unique? The answer: Quality.

QUALITY MATERIALS

I take great pride in my work, and I only use artist-level, professional supplies for my artwork. I do this to ensure my paintings resist fading, warping, and cracking. I carefully varnish all my oil paintings with Gamvar, so your painting is protected from the elements. Varnish also evens the appearance of the painting, giving it a balanced, glossy finish. I want to ensure that your investment lasts forever.

PACKING AND SHIPPING

I take my shop and my painting very seriously. I strive to have the best pictures and descriptions so you know exactly what you are investing in. I also take shipping and packaging very seriously so your art arrives in pristine condition. All works on paper are carefully placed in a plastic sleeve to protect them from any water during shipping. Works on paper are also shipped in a bend resistant document mailer to ensure they arrive crisp with no bends. I have yet to have a complaint. I also include a hand-written thank you note with every painting. I truly appreciate every time a painting finds a home.

NOTE: Free shipping is available in the US and I have a flat rate for international shipments. For international shipments, you will have to pay a duty imposed by your country upon delivery. This usually means it must be retrieved from the post office, where duties can be paid before you claim the package. Keep an eye out for messages from the post office in your mailbox. If the package is not claimed, it will be returned to me, and another shipping fee will need to be paid before I can ship it again.

PROCESS

Each painting is carefully created through a traditional process. I typically start with a notan sketch to work on the composition of the painting. Once I have worked out the composition, I usually start with a small color study to establish color harmony and values. From there I usually move on to the final painting. I typically start with an underpainting with a neutral color to establish the general composition and layout of the paining. I then start adding color to bring the painting to life. After the painting is complete and dry to the touch, I apply varnish to even out the colors and protect it from the environment.

MEDIUMS

I specialize in archival oil paintings on wood panels. I also work in gouache periodically.
