5 out of 5 starsExcellent reading. Before I didn't dare cut one of my jobs on the loom for fear of damaging it, but now I have a better idea of what I should do.

5 out of 5 starsAnother wonderful pattern by Sarah! It's so nice to be able to get a pattern designed by a weaver for weavers. I can see me wearing this as a sleeveless dress over summer and with a turtleneck under it over the winter. The pattern was so thoughtfully designed! Service was quick and easy and the pattern arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Sarah!

My original sewing patterns are created especially to make garments from narrow handwoven fabric
I started my shop in 2014. My co-author and I have been weaving and spinning friends for 30 years, have had 3 books published (Simply Woven 1986, Creative Weaving 2007 and Get Weaving 2014) and have had stands at various British Wool Fairs (Wonderwool Wales, Woolfest Cumbria, Fibre-East Bedford and Yarndale Yorkshire) to promote weaving on small rigid heddle looms and make clothing from these fabrics.
I started to make Get Weaving patterns to sell because I was asked for them! I've spent many hours adapting and inventing sewing patterns for narrow fabrics so there is virtually no waste- after all, if you've spent hours weaving you don't want to throw half the fabric in the bin! All the pattern pieces are the same width and fit perfectly on the narrow fabric and I'm very happy to share them.
i wear my hand wovens every day, in fact I'm slowly replacing every item in my wardrobe including tops, jackets, dresses, skirts, coats, culottes and hats and scarves, I'm tackling trousers next.
Happy Weaving
