Freshwater cultured pearls can also be coloured treated in all the colours of the rainbow.
Glover & Greenwood is about pearl jewellery with a contemporary feel.
If you have a love of cultured pearls then this is the shop for you.
If you want individually designed and made pearl jewellery with contemporary twist to it then this is the shop for you.
If you want to buy a pearl necklace that will last you a lifetime and then be something that you can hand on to future generations then this is the shop for you.
If you think pearl jewellery is the kind of thing the Queen wears, then this shop will open your eyes.
If you are a bride looking for bespoke or custom-made jewellery and accessories for your special day then this is the shop for you.
At Glover and Greenwood we specialise in cultured pearls. Why? Because we have a passion for them, for this most beautiful individual and organic of gems. For this gem where each one has its own individuality and personality. With the wonderfully exciting new types of pearls that are being grown and which mean we can give a whole new twist to the classic white pearl necklace.
Being pearl specialists also means that we know about pearls. We know about different types of pearls, the history and development of cultured pearls. We can tell you why Japanese seawater cultured pearls cost more than Chinese freshwater cultured pearls and about the different types of what might be termed luxury pearls such as Tahitian and South Sea.
Glover and Greenwood are members of the Guild of Jewellery Designers, The Wedding Suppliers Network and have been crowned #Queen of Pearl jewellery.
We are always happy to discuss a custom order with you and to answer any questions you may have about our jewellery.
And why Glover and Greenwood?
The shop is named for two women who loved wearing their artificial pearls and dreamed of being able to wear the real thing. My late mother and Aunt, for both of whom that classic look of a pearl necklace plus pearl earrings was a jewellery essential, to be worn on any occasion when they wanted to feel special. We can't make their dream of owning real pearls come true sadly, but we hope to make it come true for you.

Custom and personalised orders
I am always happy to create a special piece of jewellery for you whether it be for yourself or as a present for a loved one. Just message me and we can discuss your requirements, cost and the time involved to create your special piece.
Sizing details
I always try to give as much information about the sizes of my pieces as possible in the descriptions and give these measurements in both centimetres and inches.
Care instructions
The most important thing to remember when wearing jewellery made from genuine pearls is that they should be
"The last thing you put on and the first thing you take off."
Real pearls can be damaged if they come into contact with perfume and make up so these should always be applied before putting them on. And in the same way at the end of the day your pearls should be taken off before you start to remove your make up and apply any face creams.
Pearls love to be worn and the natural oils from your skin help to maintain their lustre.
Pearl necklaces showed always being stored flat in their own box or pouch.
The above comments relate to pieces made from genuine freshwater cultivated pearls, not shell pearls or artificial pearls
Gift wrapping and packaging
All the pieces in my collection will come in quality packaging.
Most pieces will be packed in a deep blue velvet jewellery bag, while necklaces and more expensive designs will come in a white jewellery box, tied around with navy blue ribbon.
Free gift wrapping is also offered.
Wholesale availability
Please contact me if you wish to discuss placing a wholesale order.
Delivery times
I post all UK orders by second class post. If you wish to upgrade to tracked and signed for, or guaranteed 24-hour delivery please contact me and I will quote you a price.
Non-UK orders will be sent by Royal mail standard delivery. The time taken is normally 5-10 working days. Again please contact me if you wish to upgrade to a tracked and signed for service.
Please remember that at Christmas shipping times often become slower. A list of last order dates will be added to the announcement section on my shop homepage. While you can still place orders after this cut off time I make no promise that they will arrive in time.
Why doesn't the tracking number work?
I use Etsy postage labels. Etsy automatically adds a tracking number even when the item is being sent untracked. Orders are sent untracked unless this is requested by the buyer.
When will I get my order?
Please note the timings given are the time it takes me to make and post orders. They are not an indication of when you can expect to receive your order as I have no control over delivery times.
