Frequently asked questions

When will you ship my order?

All individual greeting cards will ship within 1-2 business days of you placing your order.

They will travel to you from the UK by fist class post from Royal Mail.

How will you ship my order?

Shipping fees are detailed on each item.

All greeting cards will travel to you via Royal Mail 1st Class (when your destination is in the UK) or Royal Mail International Standard (to everywhere else).

Are you cards printed by you?

At the moment, All of my cards are printed for me by a fabulous printer based down in Cornwall in the UK.

This company has excellent green credentials and all the cards are printed on carbon neutral card stock as part of the Woodland Carbon scheme.

Do you have anything to do with the American Green Card work permit?

In a word, no! :)

The name Green Card Design came from a bad pun a while back. I was making collages and collage based cards and it struck me that collage, as a medium, was very "green", recycling as it does, things that would normally be thrown away.

As I was designing cards, "Green Card Design" seemed fitting.

I like to make the products I offer as environmentally friendly as I possibly can.

Do you make your cards yourself?

Yes and no!

The photographs on my cards are currently all taken my me. This may change in the future as I come across artists, designers or photographers who would like me to develop their work as cards but currently it's all just me.

The linocuts are also drawn, handcut and hand printed by me. These prints are then scanned into my computer where I can colour them and composite them together and tindy them up if necessary. This process means that when printed, the cards retain the qualities of an original linocut print.

Finished designs are then shipped to my lovely printer down in Cornwall, who prints them and ships them back to me with envelopes and cellophane bags.

Do you sell outside the UK?

Yes, I am very happy to ship my cards anywhere in the world!
