Botanical Print Shop. Illustration & Design
Welcome to my botanical print shop. I'm Katy Hackney Illustrator and Designer of my brand Hackney & Co Design. I produce detailed botanical prints of herbs and wild flowers.Located in the Orkney Isles, Scotland I'm continually recording and connecting with the nature all around me.
All my designs are developed by hand in pen and watercolour ink, first producing delicate line work and then layering with watercolours. These are then reworked to form unique prints or repeat patterns influenced by traditional botanical illustrations expressed in a clean and modern way.
I set up my brand Hackney & Co to create my own prints, patterns and products. Reflecting my own love for herbs and wildflowers and the language and folklore behind them.
