5 out of 5 starsI ordered two doggies - a black blueberry muffin one and a brown toffe treacle one. they both smell absolutely lovely and the delivery was great. well packaged in bubble wrap to avoid damage in transport.. and even in the heatwave today they were still in pretty good condition. I received a message from the seller that there was some wax leftover from one of the dogs so they very kindly threw in some cute little wax melts which also smell so good! Great customer service 🙃

About HandMadeMandles
A sustainable hobby.
I started making candles during the first lockdown to keep boredom at bay. After many experiments, getting the right wax mix, temperature, wick, fragrance oils; I figured out how to make long burning candles which gave off a strong but not overpowering scent
Now another pet peeve of mine is waste. All of these lovely jars and cans which are beautifully engineered are sent off to be melted down and made into something else. What if I could make them into candles?
And so that's what I did, I was very pleased with myself, the end.
Until friends and family asked if I could make some for them.. And so the experiment continues. Any profit pays for my next wacky idea!
I am now 3D printing objects which I think would be cool candles.
Buddha with Darth Vaders head, Einstein, maybe animal skulls?
Got any ideas what you would like to see as a candle, let me know!
And along the way I've upcycled hundreds of cans, jars, bottles. People seem pleased, which is very flattering, and more people get to appreciate soy/rapeseed/coconut/sunflower wax candles.
A hobby that pays for itself!
