About HandmadebyLollaMac

Sales 137
On Etsy since 2016

From engineering, to teaching, to silversmithing: it's fair to say I've had a varied career.

Some might say I can't make my mind up what I want to do, though I'd rather say it's because I've never found quite the right fit for me. Until now that is!

I came to silversmithing in 2016, when I was looking for a creative escape from a career that had left me deeply unhappy and more than a little broken. I was instantly hooked; the ability to take an unassuming scrap of metal and turn it into a piece of wearable art gave me immense satisfaction. I knew very quickly that I wanted this to be more than just a hobby, and my business was born.

Handmade by LollaMac is a range of contemporary jewellery, all designed and handcrafted by me using traditional silversmithing hand tools and techniques in my Northumberland home studio. I work with sterling silver, copper and brass, the 'mixed-metals' look being a signature of the brand. My style is simple, clean and minimalist. Nothing in your face, but hopefully striking nonetheless, with a cohesive collection suited to any occassion.

I have registered my maker's mark with the London Assay office, who hallmark my work in accordance with UK legal requirements.

As well as my Etsy shop, the LollaMac collection is available through a number of stockists across the North East, and I also trade at regular markets and fairs both local and further afield.

When not in LollaMac mode, I enjoy cooking, baking, walking, travelling, drinking wine and gin (though not together of course!) and watching motorbike racing.

I hope you love what you see as much as I have enjoyed making each and every piece in my collection. As well as keeping my shop stocked, I love working on custom orders, so if there's anything special you'd like making, please do get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

You will receive your jewellery in a natural fabric gift bag; we recommend you keep it in the bag when not being worn to help prevent tarnish. Surface oxidisation is, however, a natural occurrence and you may notice your jewellery darkening over time, in particular on copper pieces (though many actually prefer oxidised to polished copper!). To bring your jewellery back to its original finish, simply rub over regularly with a silver jewellery polishing cloth. We recommend removing jewellery when swimming.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All jewellery is wrapped in pretty sparkly tissue paper and supplied in a branded natural fabric gift bag. Orders are shipped in an unmarked padded envelope; we choose not to add branding to the outer package for security reasons (and of course so you can keep your delivery a secret from prying eyes!)

Wholesale availability

Wholesale orders are welcome. Please contract us to discuss your retirements.

Sizing details

We have tried to make the dimensions of each piece clear in the description. Please be aware however that as all items are handmade, there will be some inevitable variation from piece to piece. If you require and further classification on the sizes of an item before purchase, please don't hesitate to ask.
