Announcement    Our estimated dispatch time for all items is only 3-5 days - however, due to these unprecedented times we are experiencing a very high volume of orders, combined with the surge in online shopping due to covid-19 lockdown these delivery times may vary and you may well experience a delay in the delivery of your items outside our normal expected times. Please contact us if you require an urgent order for a specific date and we will do our very best to accommodate you where possible.

We hope your freshly made chocolates will bring some happiness to you or those you gift them to during these uncertain times.
Stay Safe and Stay at Home, Kind regards, Sally xx

Henley Chocolates create handmade Belgian chocolate boxes, bars and shapes for chocoholics of all ages. We are passionate about great flavours & quality ingredients, fresh and local where possible. We love what we do and hope that you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them.

Here in our little workshop our chocolate fairies live and breathe chocolate. All of our products are handmade in our workshop in Wootton Wawen and you are welcome to come and visit us and watch our team at work creating our delicious goodies through our big glass viewing windows. Everything that goes out the door is taste tested not only by us and our highly discerning mini-chocolatier but by members of the public with our chocolate club. Only the best products make it to sale. This means we have something to offer everyone including the most serious chocolate connoisseur.

We are determined that our little industry should not affect the world in a negative way and we therefore work hard at all levels of supply and production to make sure that we are working in a sustainable way. The process is still evolving and every day we're looking for new ways to make our products more sustainable. We use real ingredients that are fresh and local where possible. As for our chocolate at present all of the cocoa beans that we use are grown in a biodiverse environment under the rainforest canopy and come from fully traceable Growing Great Cocoa beans which organisation works with farmers to get a better deal.

The couriers who deliver our ingredients are carbon neutral and, closer to home, our electricity comes straight from our roof. Our workshop is heated by a wood chip boiler using wood from the managed woodlands round the farm chopped up by Simon, the farm manager. Finally we use the minimum packaging needed to ensure that our products reach our customers in perfect condition.

About HenleyChocolates

On Etsy since 2013

Henley Chocolates began as a little sparkle of a dream on a cold winter evening...

The idea to make chocolate began when the ground was covered with snow and gardening work had dried up for the season. Something was needed to fill those long winter evenings.

I left my job as a solicitor to start a slightly less pressured career which allowed me to combine my creativity and love of all things foodie. Initially I helped my husband Luke to run his garden design and maintenance business and he helped with my cooking and baking business when daylight hours were short. We then had a little boy, Elliot, and cakes turned in to Henley Chocolates enabling me to stay closer to home. Elliot, now five, loves helping with the business and earning a little extra pocket money. He takes his role as Chief Taster very seriously!

It was a rather sticky but very tasty learning process. We became a familiar sight offering bags of mis-shapes to the neighbours (still are in fact although the frequency has reduced as accuracy has improved!). I learnt the basic techniques from a chocolatier-friend and have never stopped learning since. We have a chocolate library (which should never be read while hungry) and go on courses to learn new techniques and share ideas with other professionals - something I love to do.

Henley Chocolates is growing fast and we have now moved out of our home and in to a converted milk parlour at the Yew Tree Farm Craft Centre in Wootton Wawen with a small team of staff to help keep up with demand. It's an exciting time and there's a whole world out there which we are just beginning to explore and it's great that we can welcome the public to come and watch us work and share our chocolate fun.

Shop members

  • Sally

    Owner, Chocolatier

Sally is the creative one on the team. She is happiest when in her chocolate kitchen experimenting with new flavour and colour combination. In her words she 'just loves playing with food'.

  • Luke

    Assistant

Luke has been part of the Henley Chocolates team right from the start. He's currently working on our cleaning team helping us keep on top of the vast piles of washing up that our chocolate fairies create.

  • Vanessa

    Chocolatier

If you pop into the shop at a weekend you are likely you are likely to meet either 'Ness or Jen. As well as being a first class truffle-chocolatier, 'Ness is a whiz at digital media and makes all our fab GIFs.

Welcome to Henley Chocolates.

Our estimated dispatch time for all items is only 3-5 days - however, due to these unprecedented times we are experiencing a very high volume of orders, combined with the surge in online shopping due to covid-19 lockdown these delivery times may vary and you may well experience a delay in the delivery of your items outside our normal expected times. We specialise in delicious handmade chocolates that are fun, unique or quirky (and preferably all three) flavoured using real ingredients, locally sourced where possible, in the heart of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. We have just moved in to a fab new workshop in Wootton Wawen, just north of Stratford Upon Avon - you're welcome to visit us Tuesday-Sunday 10-5 and watch the chocolate magic happening.

Our little team of chocolate fairies is growing fast as the word spreads. Have a look at our team page to meet the lovely people behind the chocolate goodness.

Returns made in original condition for non-bespoke items within seven days of the date of delivery will be accepted in accordance with statutory rights. Bespoke items unfortunately cannot be returned unless faulty.
Delivery
Due to unprecedented demand, together with reduced staff and supplies we are struggling to make and ship orders in our normal time frame. If you need your chocolates before a specific date please add a note to your order.

We are working round the clock to make chocolates which will bring a glimmer of light and happiness to you.  Please bear with our slower than normal turn around during these uncertain times.

Thank you for supporting Henley Chocolates xx

Pretty much all of our chocolate is made and packaged to order. This means that sometimes it takes a few days to make and dispatch your product. It will be posted using Royal Mail or Parcelforce (limited environmental impact as the journey of the postman is already being made). Chocolates being posted are generally packaged using recycled and reused outer packaging to limit the environmental impact and they are packed using bubble wrap or paper padding to make sure that they arrive with our customers in the same great condition as they leave here.

If you need your chocolates quickly, for a specific date or would like special delivery arrangements to be made please contact us when ordering and we'll be happy to discuss your requirements and help where we can.
Additional policies and FAQs
One of the best things about being a chocolatier is the fun that you can have creating something totally unique. If you have something special you would like please contact us and we will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and create something for your special occasion.

1. Personal information we collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. We use your information to provide the services you requested and in our legitimate interest to improve our services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. We use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

6. Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. We describe these rights below:

Object. You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
