Announcement   Set your fingers free and let a Hoolahan Guitar Slide help you achieve sounds you've never been able to get before trying to play slide guitar.

The glass slide is ideal if you’re looking for a thicker tone while you play. The brass slide is a great piece if you play acoustic as the balanced weight of the product helps with manoeuvrability.

What makes Hoolahan slides better to use is the lack of harm they can cause to your fingers compared to normal guitar slides. All our slides have been designed to sit between the PIP and DIP joints. Traditional slide sizes are based on your ring size as they aim to cover the whole finger, limiting any movement.

Hoolahan slides sit right in the middle so you can fully control where the slide sits (if you prefer to slide with the side of your finger) and minimises any stiffness and joint problems that are commonly associated with prolonged periods of playing.

Hoolahan Guitar Slides are made in Scotland and aim to be your solution to finding the perfect guitar slide.

About

Guitar Slide Technique - Using the Hoolahan Guitar Slide

One of the biggest inconveniences in using a guitar slide is the lack of mobility and ease it is sometimes unable to provide someone trying to play the way they’d like. If you’re someone who’s suffered from the years old problem of having only 3 fingers available when using a slide, we now have a product that can give a player all four fingers plus a slide finger too. Here at Hoolahan’s we have created a guitar slide that makes it incredibly easy to use a slide, no matter what your skill level.

You can see as Phil Hoolahan plays in this video just how easy to use our slides are. In this particular instance, he is using our brass slide to get that highly desired polished tone to his performance. Our brass slide comes in three sizes to accommodate all sizes and is made from annealed brass to ensure that you can get a smooth sound from any movement. We don’t provide the product based on ring size as the product sits in the middle of the finger so you can wear it appropriately depending on how you play.

We also have a glass slide for sale if you’re after a piece that can bring out the middle harmonics of your sound. You can find out more about that product at visiting http://www.hoolahan.co/shop/guitar-slide-glass/

Notice how as Phil plays, all his fingers remain free to navigate around as he sees fit. The slide has a nice balanced weight and the thicker wall gives a heightened freedom of movement that you just don’t get with traditionally used slides. If you’re just starting out and dipping your toes in to playing this way, we can’t recommend our slides enough.

They’re perfect for beginners and professionals alike, and come at a price which won’t break the bank. If you’re someone who always struggles to hit notes and often find yourself rounding the hand unnaturally to accommodate for wearing any slide, you’ll be interested din this product for the space it creates.

Hoolahan Guitar Slides provides solutions for amateur and professional guitar players. The guitar slide developed by Phil Hoolahan is the only slide that completely gives you the freedom of all four fingers.

Phil is a passionate guitarist and believes that his slide would allow each musician to release full potential. The latest model can be described as “one slide does it all”. One half is brass – a favourite for acoustic and dobro players, the other half is chrome – perfect for playing electric guitar.

After creating the perfect guitar slide Hoolahan Guitar Slides has developed the tuning switch. As a guitarist Phil loved the idea of being able to switch between standard tuning and open G tuning. With all other products the time delay between dialling in the tuning and waiting on the machine head motors to digitally tune the guitar is too long – Hoolahan Slides tuning switch solves this problem.
