5 out of 5 starsCatherine was kind enough to send photos of fabric options for the lettering to help me sense check the colour combinations before she made up the aprons. And the aprons are really lovely- love the little touches of the bright button at the top of the apron and the pretty ‘hop stitch jump’ logo at the bottom. A lovely personal present.

About HopStitchJump
Children draw it, I make it!
My creative journey began in 2003, when I lived in a geographically isolated and non-commercial part of the world, and I had to learn to use what I could lay my hands on! Only later, while I was taking a break from my teaching career, did I begin to share my work with others. I realised then that the items I made could become a source of income for my growing family, and so began Hop Stitch Jump!
I have been in business since 2010, selling handmade fabric treasures. I'm probably best known for my Doodlebroidery, which is the embroidering of children's drawings and handwriting. I feel really passionate about celebrating the first steps that little ones make on their creative journey, and capturing these moments in their early years really does help to make memories last a lifetime.
I'm very lucky to be able to spend my days doing something that I really enjoy; after I stepped out of the classroom, I didn't think I'd be able to find a second line of work that I loved. Having a presence on Etsy is a way for me to reach a different group of people, and is encouraging me to create more commercial pieces. I'm hoping this is another chapter of fun and creativity!
