5 out of 5 starsI highly recommend this class.
I've been on a variety of different craft and art courses over the years, but I definitely enjoyed this the most.
The class is held in a beautiful little room, it's relaxed and friendly and Lann is wonderful - so helpful and he also made banana bread and chocolate cake for us all.
I came away feeling confident and energised and I can't wait to get started at home. -

5 out of 5 starsLann was absolutely fabulous today. He took us right from the basics and made even the most unskillful artists of us feel confident and able. He was approachable and keen to share this passion for all things calligraphy.
Thanks for a great session Lann, we look forward to joining you to practice our new skill! -

5 out of 5 starsThis workshop was really good! Well prepared, planned and delivered. THANK YOU! It really got me being creative and fully understand all the elements of calligraphy. Would highly recommend this workshop and the cake half way through was a huge surprise as it was my birthday on the day of the workshop. Thank you! 😊

5 out of 5 starsI had such a great time with Lann at the beginners workshop- he’s a superb teacher, and the session was so relaxed and fun. I learned so much and Lann was great with giving tips and direction. He even made amazing gluten free brownies for a halftime snack! I so recommend the class, it was so inspiring and fun!

5 out of 5 starsTook my mother-in-law to this workshop and had a brilliant time. We learned a bit of history, how to use a calligraphy pen, and spent the majority of the time writing out the alphabet and discussing how nice some letters are when you make them all swirly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, and a fun new skill to learn. Oh and there was plenty of teas and coffees and banana bread! Would recommend :)

5 out of 5 starsHad a really enjoyable afternoon learning some calligraphy basics. Lann was very informative, engaging and helpful. The class gave us a taster of calligraphy and I have been practicing at home since! Thanks Lann

5 out of 5 starsAn incredible way to spend a Sunday morning! We both thoroughly enjoyed the course with a lovely small group of people. Lann is a natural instructor who shares his enthusiasm for calligraphy with a great deal of humour. He has lit a spark in both of us to keep practicing and provided the kit to do so. Would highly recommend to anyone to try - even complete beginners like us.

INKRDBL calligraphy: the how, why and who!
I'm an Irish Armenian living in Wales. Way back in the Jurassic period I studied & enjoyed calligraphy at school, then promptly forgot about it when life as a young adult got in the way.
A journey involving corporate jobs, marriage and two children later led me back to the desire to create again.
By chance, a magazine article reminded me of my love for letters and I bought a dip pen, some nibs and a jar of ink. I 'hid' in my garden shed for a year practising and getting reacquainted with tools and techniques. I was hooked! I had been leading very successful calligraphy workshops across South Wales until Covid hit & they are on hold for now...
I also make, or draw, ensō and you can buy some of these originals in the shop. Ensō are zen circles. Making them is a meditative process. They are rich with meaning and it can be very calming to just sit and contemplate while you draw or view them.
In 2019 I began to explore Gyotaku (fish rubbing art) & bookbinding. I particularly enjoy repurposing older books to refill with blank paper giving them a new lease of life and a career change all at once 😉
Thanks for visiting. Get in touch if you have a project you want to discuss: I love a challenge!

Stop! Calligraphy, meaning 'beautiful writing', from the Greek kallos ‘beauty’ + graphein ‘write’, is a visual art related to writing; calligraphers 'draw' letters. None of my work is computer generated.
