Pottery Handmade in Oxford, UK

I started Illyria Pottery in 2008 in Greenville, South Carolina after finishing an MA in 3D Studio Art. I moved to Oxford and opened a shop in the quirky and wonderful neighbourhood of Jericho in 2013. I make everything in my studio with my kitty, Lucie Maud, who is a bit famous in town. You can follow us both on Instagram @illyriapottery. Little Lucie has her own hashtag: #luciemaud. I sign all of my pots with my name and stamp them with "OX", showing that I make them in the historic city of Oxford. If you're ever in the area, do stop by.

  • Katie

    Owner, Potter

I'm a maker--from pots to jewelry and even the occasional installation. I enjoy stealing textures from nature and old things to create something new. I've worked in clay for nearly a decade and have recently moved to Oxford to open a studio and shop.

  • Lucie Maud

    Customer Service

Meow, I'm Lucie Maud. I help my mom by sleeping a lot in the shop in her bowls and by greeting customers and making them feel welcome. You can find me on Instagram under my hashtag #luciemaud.

Please note: tracking is not available for our standard shipping methods. Tracking is available for DHL parcels only.

We take great care in packaging your pieces so that they will arrive safely. If a product does arrive with a flaw, or if it has been damaged in the mail, please let us know within 14 days of the purchase date, and we'll be happy to make things right for you. Please note that no refunds will be given after 14 days of the purchase.

If a piece arrives damaged or flawed, we will ask to see a photo of the product. Depending on the situation (if we have a similar piece to hand and/or if you would like to wait for us to reproduce it), we will either send you a new piece, or we will refund your money in full including the original shipping charge.

If a piece arrives unflawed and undamaged by the post, but you decide you do not want it, you may return the piece within 14 days of the purchase date. A full refund will be made via Paypal only after the piece has arrived back safely. We will not make a refund before the piece has been returned to us. Illyria Pottery will not pay for return shipping for pieces that were unflawed upon arrival and undamaged by initial shipping. Original shipping charges will not be refunded unless the piece arrived damaged or flawed. The customer making the return is fully responsible to package the piece for safe return travel. I'm happy to ship overseas. Internationally shipped items are not insured, but can be upon request for an additonal fee. I take extreme care in packaging, but feel free to send a message if you'd like the additional confidence of having insurance. In the sad (and rare event) of damage in transit, please let me know. I'd be happy to work with you individually. See more details below.

For international orders, I cannot be held responsible for customs delays. This is beyond our control. It is rare, but parcels have been known to be delayed in customs for up to 3.5 weeks.
