I have always been quite creative and studied Interior Architecture and Design at university in Leeds, going on to peruse a career working mainly on commercial hospitality projects of all different sizes.

After dabbling with calligraphy for our own wedding stationery, I did a couple of workshops and was hooked. The illustration side came very naturally and I have always loved drawing and painting, I just didn't know what to do with that. So it was wonderful to get started again and to have people buying me work!

A lot of what I have worked on are bespoke illustration commissions for wedding invitations, house portraits, anniversary gifts, wedding venue illustrations and much more. However I wanted to create something more accessible and based around the things that mean a lot to me, so am slowly building up my range of cards and prints.

My work is all done by hand and only digitised for printing, I don't use the computer for any editing or drawing work. I draw each piece out in pencil, then a fine line black pen before adding watercolour to bring the illustration to life. I love the process and could easily get lost for hours painting. My latest project I am working on is a series of illustrations based on Hastings on the Sussex coast. I can't wait to share these with you soon.
