Handmade items for tots with style!

Hi there my name is Steph. I am a full time mummy to Preston and Dave the British Bulldog. I also work as a Palliative care nurse. I love all types of crafting but discovered a passion for sewing and quilts when a friend told me about Pinterest. I came across amazing items which inspired me and I got my first sewing machine as a gift. The name of my store - Improv - comes from the style of sewing and quilting I love, making pieces with scrap fabrics, not necessarily following a pattern, improvising with what material I have.

I started making bibs when my son was about 6 months. He was teething from 8 weeks and we went through numerous bibs everyday. I found store bought bibs either very expensive or poor quality. I wanted to make bibs to compliment his outfits and after lots of friends and family encouraging me I decided to start selling them, and here I am! I have a serious fabric addiction!
