About

I like making things

I have always been creative. I love the design, experimentation and exploration stages of creating a new piece. I sometimes create patterns for others but prefer to work without patterns myself. Free to innovate and wander. This ensures that each item I create is unique and particular to the moment and mood in which it was created.

If you see something here but wish it was a different colour or you have an idea of some similar (or completely different!) thing you'd like making then I love a challenge and am open to custom orders of all shapes and sizes. I have made brooches of pandas and ice-creams in the past when requested which I may never have thought to try if left to my own devices.

I design and make fabric, crocheted & embroidered jewellery and accessories. I recently began selling wire and resin jewellery after making my own wedding ring. I have always been creative. I exhibit watercolours from time to time.

Frequently asked questions

How to care for resin jewellery?

Resin is fairly hard wearing but there are few things to keep in mind for your jewellery to look it's best:

1. As with all jewellery, avoid contact with abrasive materials, harsh cleaning chemicals, perfumes, lotions, etc.

2. Resin is water resistant but not waterproof and should not be submerged in water for prolonged periods. It is best to remove resin jewellery when swimming, showing, washing up, etc.

3. Hot temperatures may cause resin to soften and become malleable - if this happens, reshape the piece, handling it as little as possible and place in a cool environment until it re-hardens.

4. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or cigarette smoke can cause resin to discolour - this is most likely to affect clear pieces.

Some people mention free gifts in their reviews - will I receive a free gift with my order?

I am often experimenting with new techniques and ideas so I have a lot of practice and demonstration pieces in my studio.

When someone places an order then I might also send one of these experimental pieces as a free gift if the size and/or style matches that of the ordered piece. I would prefer my creations to be out in the world being worn than to sit in a draw!

So I can't guarantee you'll get a free gift but I do regularly send them out. It just depends on what I have when orders come in.
