ISLAY WHISKY JUGS

Each one of my whisky jugs is unique with colours reflecting the glorious hues of Islay, the Queen of the Hebrides.
Unlike many other pottery styles, I do not use transfers. Instead, I carve out the designs and create moulds using the skills of our ancestors.

I hope that each purchase will transport you to that special timeless island place. Perhaps it will be for an imagined invigorating wander on one of the island's endless windswept beaches, or to stand on a headland studded with wildflowers watching the constantly changing colours of the sea. Perhaps more simply, to a fireside enhanced with the aroma of peat smoke. Whatever you dream, let your imagination flow along with that special dram.



Iomhair Fletcher was born and brought up on Islay. Like most Ileachs, he is skilled and versatile and has a passion for his homeland. A conservationist and environmentalist, his love of the natural world is mirrored in his work. Having spent many years at sea, he now resides in Highland Perthshire. Still, he returns to Islay to the family pottery regularly to create his beautiful, highly collectable Islay Whisky Jugs. And he prides himself that no two will ever be the same.
