About
How it all started
I have always been creative and love to paint, I also became interested in textile art over 10 years ago and did a Creative Embroidery course which I loved. This spurred me on to complete the City and Guilds Diploma in Stitched Textiles and Design.
Since completion I have been designing, making and selling my work at craft fairs and online. I set up my shop here in November 2011 and decided to call it The Craft Magpie because I am a great hoarder of all things crafty.
I then began to paint more and more so have since changed my shop name to Janice MacDougall Art. I am currently doing the Make it in Design modules in Surface Pattern Design and hope to add more products with my designs on them in the future. My shop has a selection of hand made items and paintings and will soon feature more of my paintings and prints. I hope you enjoy browsing x
