It started in November of 1987, when Jeremy began his career with Pressleys the Jewellers in South Street, Worthing. Jeremy learnt his skills under the stewardship of Reg Pressley, and his son Charles, who taught him all aspects of the jewellery trade. After nine years with the firm, Jeremy started to branch out on his own, trading at markets such as Bermondsey, Kempton, and Ardingly.

The lure of retail soon returned and in June 2000 Jeremy opened his first shop in Warwick Street, Worthing - the smallest shop in the street at barely seven feet wide. He soon gained a reputation for buying and selling interesting pieces of jewellery and silverware. By 2008 he had outgrown his current premises, and took the opportunity to move across the road to an imposing corner site approximately eight times the size of his previous shop.

Business flourished despite worldwide recessions, and over the next ten years Jeremy outgrew the second premises once again. In 2019 Jeremy was approached by the Pressley family, who he was still on very good terms with, with a view to purchasing the historic building at 46 South Street which has traded as a jewellers since 1933.

After the briefest of negotiations he was able to purchase the freehold of the shop, and in 2020, after refurbishment and decoration, Jeremy opened the doors to the public.

The shop today is an Aladdin's cave of curated antique, vintage and pre-owned jewellery, with workshops on the upper floor.
