Committed to making a positive impact in the life of its workers, suppliers and customers, Julia Rusu Design was established in 2018, as an ethical luxury womenswear brand working exclusively with natural materials and handmade embroideries. Providing support to socially challenged Romanian artisans, they are being fairly compensated to create unique motifs on the garments. Our linen, hemp and silk fabrics are entirely made in Romania, from family businesses established over 30 years ago, to minimise the environmental impact of importing them, whilst sustaining our economy. In terms of colouring, most of the fabrics are used in their natural state, and when not, we use GOTS certified or botanical dyes. Apart from being 100% biodegradable and naturally hypoallergenic, our garments showcase a timeless design, worth passing from generation to generation. If anything should happen to your piece, we do provide a service of restoring it, alternatively you can acquire interchangeable embroidered decoration, allowing you to wear the same piece countless times, with an air of newness.
